B. A player who earns $1.7 Million but gets the playing time he wanted… Let’s say 27 mpg and is fitting well with the team… He doesn’t earn much but he’s getting love from his coach…

 

Which player would you be and why?

My take is that I would probably have a wife, kids, and some family that I would want to help out as much as possible. 12 million is about 6 times more the other amount… for this difference I would choose Player A.

Maybe this just how i was raised and money was tight but I’ d very much like to provide for my love ones.

Because, If i keep getting alot of playing time, i would soon get money (a new contract) anyway

and for the time being 1.7m is enough. While pLayer A will probably be out of the league the next year, therefore he wont earn any money anymore, player b will probably still have a career maybe sign a $5million contract the next year or so. And i still get to play the game i love.

No disrespect to the game, but I’ll take the money.  If someone is going to pay me me 12 million per for little work sounds like a winner.  If I was younger, I would probably feel the other way because I could play my way into more money.

I’d take B. Not only would I get to play the game I love much more but quite frankly I can very easily live off 1.7 Million. A is an unnecessary ammount of money in my opinion and wouldn’t fill the void of not getting to play every game.

1.7 mil is still more then most people see in a lifetime. I’d be more then happy to make that in one year. As a competitor I’d hate to ride the bench. Being apart of the winning team is priceless. Well, maybe not, but it’s probably worth 10.3mil, lol.
