Tim49461ParticipantI was thinking this over during the memphis game. Had the Gasol for Gasol trade not went down, would you prefer that over Pau/Bynum? The trade not happening meaning they know how good Marc Gasol is right now?
Personally i think:
The Marc Gasol/Bynum would be alot more dominate right now then Pau and Bynum. Look how good the Power/Power combo of Memphis is working right now.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantThe thing is you need atleast one guy that can give you 20ppg downlow and Marc obviously can’t do that and Bynum doesn’t do it consistently.

BiggysmallsParticipantInteresting thought, but without Pau the Lakers wouldnt have made it to the Finals 3 years ago, and they wouldnt have won the last 2. Lets not forget how good Pau Gasol has been for the last 3 years for the Lakers. He’s a top 3 PF in the NBA and one bade series isnt going to change that.

bmawhinney20ParticipantPau is still much more skilled and is currently going through personal issues that clearly affected him during the playoffs. Saying that, Marc has played better this playoffs. Bynum and Marc would not work because both are centers who dont move very well. Bynum is always injured and inconsistent. i think the combo of the Gasol brothers is maybe the best. I think Pau will bounce back next season whether he is still with the lakers or not.
