A lot of talk has been made of the Suns drafting a PF with their pick. However, even though most mocks around the web have them drafting a big man, the Suns’ real need is a wing man that can create his own shot. Vince Carter and his eighteen million dollar contract won’t be around next season leaving Jared Dudley as their shooting guard. As much as I love Dudley and the energy he brings, he isn’t the future for the Suns.

With that being said, would you still take a big man with this pick knowing that your biggest weakness is at shooting guard and with Grant Hill (their other wing man) set to retire within a couple years? Do you go with upside or do you take someone who can contribute from day one knowing that Steve Nash can’t play forever?

If I’m the Suns, I’d go with Alec Burcs if he’s available at 13. If he’s not there, I say trade the pick.

Tristan Thompson is a sleeper and he might be there when they pick..But i’ve been hearing the Suns like Jeremy Tyler …

Gortat played well toward the end of the season..

Dudley is a very likeable guy,but he’s better coming off the bench…
