Hank Gathers died- High school, another shocker, I loved LMU’s run and gun game and enjoyed watching Hank and Bo

Chaminade upset #1 Virginia and Ralph Sampson- Junior high, talk about upset…just couldnt figure out how that happened.

…the Twin Towers collapsed?  at work, thought it was a an accident when the first plane hit, then when they said a 2nd one hit…I was like OMG…WTF???

I am 40!  I saw some of Birdsong, loved him…I saw more of Moncrief and thing he should be in the HOF.  Milwaukee was a great team to watch back then, Moncrief, Pierce, &$#%#&@!s….etc.  Actually, I remember &$#%#&@!s and Aguirre at Depaul.

Moncrief might be 1 of the most underrated and least talked about players in history..The thing that hurts him he only did it for about 5 years..But during those few years coaches and players respected him…Players voted him the league best player in 1986,thats when guys like Magic, Jordan, Bird and Hakeem were in their prime…

Terry C_mmings was another underrated guy..Maybe 1 of the best post players ever,good rebounder and he had a nice touch from the perimter..That dude was so skilled..

talk about respect…Jordan really respected him because I think he was one of the best defenders Jordan ever played against…for those who dont remember Moncrief, defensively… he was like the guard version of what Ben Wallace was in recent times….5x All Defense including 2x Defensive POY.  The difference was, Moncrief could score.  You would be hard pressed to find as good an all-around offensive/defensive presence as he was.
