I still think Josh Heytvelt should make a squad somewhere. It’s not going to be with the wizards obviously…where is he gonna play?? this guy should have been a 1st round pick. He’s 6’11, 260…can jump out of the gym, has range out to nba 3..why have teams passed on him?

coming out as well. But since he went undrafted and did zilch in the summer league, maybe I was wrong about him. I’ve heard his biggest weakness is his defense.

Is it, and he floats around the perimeter way too much. He’s a D-League guy right now

I mean he’s definately had it rough, it seems like Washington would have been the perfect place to make an impact in summer league do to their lack of quality big men, but they were more focused on seeing what the vets could do, (ie Crittenton, Young, Blatche, Mcguire, and McGee) that Heytvelt only got 6.5 minutes to show anything. I think he’s got a really polished offensive game and that he should get a training camp invite with the Wiz. However, if Oberto signs with the Wiz it sure looks like Heytvelt will be a D-leaguer or overseas player.

HE REMINDS ME OF BRAD MILLER AFTER HE WENT UNDRAFTED ..HE WASN’T GIVEN A CHANCE WITH THE WIZARDS SUMMER LEAGUE TEAM..HOPEFULLY SOME TEAM WILL INVITE HIM TO TRAINING CAMP…

Heytvelt hasn’t been the same since that incident AND his injury at Gonzaga.

Canada would be an ideal location for him to grow his own shrooms and weed

D-League this year, but i bet he puts up big numbers, definitely an athletic big man with an outside shot, which is a team need in the NBA, but he has to prove himself first in my opinion
