Where do you want Durant to Play?

I think it would be best for the league if he chooses the Celtics. Will make them a real contender and balance out the league a bit better. What you guys think?

I completely agree with you. I think Celtics would be best for the league and make things interesting. Everyone says the thunder or warriors though. And both of those teams are STACKED.
I honestly think he’ll go to Golden State. If he went through this long process and waiting just to choose OKC again, that would be strange to me.
But for me, I’d like to see Celtics or OKC. If he goes to the Warriors, that’s just extremely weak. You just played them in the conference finals man and were battling it out against them…then you’re going to just go and join them? Have some pride. I guess it’s all about rings though, but I digress. I do think it’s about HOW you win your championships. Lebron’s 1 ring in Cleveland is WAY more significant than the 2 he won in Miami. That’s just my opinion.

  Joining GS would be terrible. I can’t even believe he would want to join those 3. I doubt Curry and Green even want him really. They want the ball and don’t have room to give up 25pts a game to him. I think it would kill the flow of the team.

He is basically the face of the francise from day one and already was onboard when the played their last Seattle season. The Thunder fans and the community are absolutely awesome and deserve having him beside Westbrook chasing championships to me.
I would not only be stunned if he decides to go elsewhere as I think the Thunder roster has all it takes to go all the way to the top, but to continue the way you are going for years to bring a Championship to the franchise would be absolutely stunning and not short to me of what Dirk and Duncan have done. I had always a lot of respect for guys who stayed with their franchise to continue what they begun.
The Celtics might be a real option now with Horford but I still like the Thunder roster more. Yeah they need to play in the West and a Celtics team with KD would be the only true opponent for the Cavs but I like what this Thunder team brings to the table.
No matter what his decision will be, I have no doubt he will make the right one for him.

if he goes to the Warriors they are definitely in the Finals again, but I dont believe it is a given that they win. Cleveland is still the team to beat especially if they can add a couple more nice pieces. Durant played so much ISO ball when it came down to it and that could actually work against GSW chemistry. Easiest place to win a ring for him right now…but I hope he goes to Boston. Not a Boston fan but for his legacy, thats a much better destination. Also, they pretty much have a squad that is ready to contend. They have a lil of everything. If the Cavs have any injuries or setbacks of the sort….at the wrong time, a KD led Boston could easily be in the Finals next year. Celts are loaded with lots of young talent. Ainge has done a tremendous job. Also, I know some people were surprised about the Brown pick but I actually think that he has the most upside in the draft besides Simmons. That guy….is gonna be a player.

BOS has a great young coach, great tradition/city and a very good roster (with the flexibility to make moves going forward), but IF it’s truly a basketball decision like KD said… Why’d he go there when even OKC is better? He’d be downgrading leaving OKC for BOS. It’s obvious this is between GSW and OKC.
I’m so tired of watching OKC play the same old sh*tty isolation/hero basketball every single gat damn year. Russ is a straight up dog, but I don’t think he’s the best fit with KD even though the two are dynamic and have had success. I’d love to see KD in an unselfish and ball movement/player movement system.
For me, I’d personally like to see him playing for SAS or GSW. Since SAS doesn’t look like they’re in the picture… I’d like to see him on GSW from a style perspective.

  That is the system Stevens plays. Unselfish team ball. I think KD would reach a new level under the Stevens system. GS he would be forced to turn his game down a little because they have Curry.

I hope Kevin Durant stays in OKC. If he does leave I’d prefer he went to Boston or Miami. If I’m being honest I’m OK with anywhere he goes, but if I could make the choice for him I’m have him stay in OKC.

  like KD is stuck in OKC the same way KG was stuck in Minnesota. The Thunder front office have done a great job putting an excellent team around KD. They even showed they can recover from losing good players like Harden and Ibaka and still continue to compete.
  The Thunder are a championship team with just some small improvements from Adams and Kanter.

IF KD went to BOS, would they be the favorites? Would they leapfrog CLE in the East? Would they be better than GSW? Would they even be better than SAS or a healthy LAC? As much as I love Brad Stevens and the tough roster they have (really like the Hoford signing, but think Horford is overrated), I just don’t think so…
OKC was one win away from going to the Finals. They’re a great organization in almost every single way and have a great roster with talent and flexibility. IF you leave that, you don’t downgrade. BOS would be a great fit, but they’d be a downgrade. MIA is a major downgrade, plus why’d he follow in LBJ’s footsteps? SAS obviously is a great organization, has a great coach and a great talent in Leonard, but they lack youth.
That’s why I think it’s OKC or GSW. He’s most likely battling between staying loyal to the house he’s built or going to the one team who has more talent than OKC. People will say he took the easy way out signing with GSW and if he does, they’ll have more hate than ever. That’s something KD hasn’t dealt with his entire career. He’s never gotten that LBJ treatment. However, he’ll be 28 in Sep and has to be thinking about can he actually win a ring in OKC.
I’m really intrigued to see who he chooses. Deep down, I kind of hope he stays with OKC and just signs a two year with a player option. Maybe he’s doing this to hurt other teams in free-agency. I read almost 60 free-agents have been signed.
