We know where Ben Simmons is headed but what I’m interested in is where you predict the rest of the top players in the class of 2015 go.

    Jaylen Brown?

    Malik Newman?

    Ivan Rabb?

    Diamond Stone?

    Stephen Zimmerman?

    Brandon Ingram?

I can only really comment on the prospects that UNC was/is currently involved with.

Jaylen Brown-Hearing rumblings that UNC may be the leader right now.  There is a TON of time left in this recruitment, but UNC came in late and has been impressing him, he was hoping for them to recruit him a long time ago.  I think it will be one of UNC, UCLA, UK or KU.

Ivan Rabb- California or Arizona.  I think Cal has a slight edge at the moment.  He really likes the head coach.

Zimmerman- If Skal had not commited to UK, I am convinced Zimmerman would be a Wildcat right now.  He was enamored with his visit there and loved it.  He is likely waiting to see who leaves to go pro for UK now.  If Marcus Lee and Trey Lyles stay, expect him to go to UNLV or KU.

Brandon Ingram-  He has almost pulled the trigger for UNC several times.  The academic investigation and a stellar visit to KU has made him take a step back.  He was enamored with Duke and I predicted his commitment there awhile ago, however he had a series of bad visits there.  It will be UNC or KU IMHO.  (I have the most info on Ingram)

Don’t shoot the messenger.  Just relaying what I know.  I love how people neg me for simply relaying information.  The UNC staff has had many successful interactions with Jaylen Brown lately and he is quoted saying that UNC is his dream school.  There are however many other variables.

Outside of a staff connection, I know a lot of people in Kinston close to Ingram, so he is the one I am most confident about with the information I have shared.

It is between Wisconsin and UCON.  I would be curious to see what Bo could do with him at UW but keep hearing rumblings UCON is the leader by the slimmest of margins.

Jaylen Brown- Kentucky- A lot of people thought KU for the ADIDAS connection and the playing time at the 3 but with it looking like Oubre won’t get a lot of time and will be back it’s doubtful he chooses KU. UK visit seemed to have made a big statement for him as well. I think UK or UCLA right now and I’d lean towards UK at the moment.

Malik Newman- Miss State- After signing Briscoe and looking like they’ll go hard after Blakeney it doesn’t appear Newman will go to UK. KU is another strong possibility but Selden will more than likely be back with Oubre so there won’t be much time available in the backcourt. I believe things are looking more and more like he stays in Mississippi at with Miss State or Ole Miss. Lean towards Miss State right now.

Cheick Diallo- Kansas- UK was considered the leader after Slice left Pitt for UK. KU has made a strong push. He’s going to wait till the spring to decide to see who leaves and who stays. I feel more starting time is available at KU and that’s where he decides to go.

Diamond Stone- Wisconsin- UCONN for the longest time seemed like the favorite with Wisconsin not far behind. That seems to have changed. The playing time is wide open for Stone to stay home and play for Bo Ryan. Get the feeling he ends up deciding to do that.

Ivan Rabb- California- Have heard things between Rabb and Zona cooled big time. California in front of everyone. I see him joining Tyler Dorsey in Cal and forming a really good freshman duo next year at Cal.

Caleb Swanigan- Michigan State- This is a guess. No idea how this recruitment is.

Stephen Zimmerman- UNLV- Was UK for a long time but Labissiere and the players who may return is why I think he looks elsewhere. Zimmerman’s closeness to his Mother is why he decides to stay home and play for UNLV.

Calton Bragg- Kentucky- I feel he knows he probably won’t go pro and decides to go to UK and wait his turn and be back up to Lyles or Lee for one year. KU the other strong possibility.

Antonio Blakeney- Kentucky- Very close to Briscoe and the 2 have talked for a while about playing college ball together. Cal decides he wants a few multi-year guards in this class over OAD.

Brandon Ingram- Duke- Have heard about KU making a strong impression during visit and Duke having bad visits. Have a tough time seeing him go to UNC though with the depth and academic issues. Feel in the end he decides to overlook the bad visits and stay him and play for Duke where he can step right into the lineup.

KU should feel very confident with Ingram right now.  They have all the momentum on their side at the moment.  I would be very shocked if it was not UNC or KU.

UNC needs at least Jaylen Brown or Ingram to commit. There no doubt that the academic scandal has killed Roy in recruiting. They have whiffed on every big man in the 2015 class. Roy has a great track record of developing big men and his system gives big men touches and makes them look great so I don’t think it’s the system that’s making guys like Ivan Rabb, Zimmerman, Diamond Stone and Henry Ellenson go elsewhere. I have heard over and over Brandon was a Duke lock. I think UK might have the best chance to snatch him. Everybody knows by now Jaylen Brown has said UNC was his dream school. As of now, UNC has exactly one recruit in Luke Maye. If it stays that way an Carolina loses Paige, Hicks, Brice, and perhaps Kennedy if he continues to impress, UNC might be looking at another 8-20 season next year.

What do you think of PJ Dozier? If the scandal had not gone down do you think he would have gone tarheel? From the early looks I dont think anyone on the team will bolt for the NBA. Paige just looks like a 4 year guy. Hicks and Meeks I think have learned from Mcadoo. If anyone I would guess Tokoto if he breaks out but he still hasnt proven his shot. Dozier was a strong UNC lean for a while.  It was going to be UNC or Louisville with UNC leading.  When Blackney commited to Louisville they stopped recruiting PJ, when he decommited they started recruiting him again and that didn’t sit well with his family.  The scandal played a big role in PJ’s decision as he knows that he is a 2-4 year guy and the fear of a postseason ban kind of scared him off.

Hicks I think is a year away.  The only ones I could see bolting early would be Paige, Jackson and Johnson.  I think Johnson is the most likely out of the 3.
