eprizzle14ParticipantMica Downs had a chance to make the Suns roster. Everyone thought I was crazy when I said he has a shot to get drafted, which he disnt but he got picked picked up and started for the Suns summerleague

FutureoftheGameI think he could crack the Suns lineup and play behind J-Rich and Barbosa at the SG and maybe even a little SF behind Hill and Clark.

R-Dot-13Participanti hope woodside gets on a team this year.

JNixonParticipantIm surprised a team didnt draft Leo Lyons, he has alot of talent offensively.

D HampParticipantAdjose5, I got your message a few days ago. I haven’t found anything on Devendorf. Nice to know there are a few fans out there. I’ve been searching everywhere, but I can’t find any info on him. I’ll let you know when I hear something. As for Paul Harris, he may sign with the Timberwolves but I doubt it because he saw limited action.
Thanks for the shout out and being true to the player you like most….Devo

MagikKnickParticipantIf Paul Harris was 3 inches taller, he’d be on a team right now..
&As for Devendorf, i think he went back to school

kong47272ParticipantLeo Lyons was on the Pacer’s summer league team, he got some playing time but never had a great game. I think he will be overseas somewhere next year, if he works on his Defense he might make an NBA squad someday.

PsychoTforPresidentParticipantRumor on the blogs is that Devendorf has a $200,000 offer on the table if he doesn’t make an NBA squad this season. Personally if I am him I am gone already, rather then trying to make the D-League.

PsychoTforPresidentParticipantFrom a team in Italy should have been in the last post.

kaceyParticipantQuality posts. Where did you get all this information? Google search or Eurobasket.com? I’m guessing you spent plenty of time researching all of this, so I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say thanks.
I was hoping Woodside would be in the NBA this year, but I knew it would be too good to be true. I’d like to see Ronald Steele get his confidence back and hopefully see him in the NBA in a couple of years. Surprised to see Nivins going overseas because I thought he could have made the Mavericks squad this year.

MagikKnickParticipantYeah, I thought Nivins would have been an NBA player next season…
But I guess the addition of Drew Gooden and Tim Thomas changed thatAnd i’ve never seen Ben Woodside play, so this is probably dumb to say..
But doesnt 23ppg, 6apg in college get a look at in the NBA?0 - Posted on: Mon, 08/10/2009 - 10:14am #198691

R-Dot-13ParticipantMagikknick,
Dont forget about 37 points against kansas in the tournament .
I agree , that he should be an NBA player .
0 - Posted on: Mon, 08/10/2009 - 3:23pm #198895
kaceyParticipantYeah Woodside really won me over with his performance against KU. I heard alot about him before that game, but he really sealed the deal against them. He was solid, drove to the basket at will against some of KU’s quality guards, matched Sherron Collins basket for basket, and made about all of his free throws.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 08/10/2009 - 3:54pm #198907

llperezBut is’nt he like 5-11 and seriously limited athletically? I’ve never heard from anywhere that he was ever a serious candidate for the NBA despite his amazing college career.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 08/10/2009 - 3:56pm #198908
kaceyParticipantYeah he is 5-11. He will have to prove himself against the overseas talent before he gets another shot in the NBA. I don’t think he got off the bench much for the T’Wolves during the summer league.
