Russell0WestbrookParticipantis the start of the season showing that the cavs r not as good as people believe? i think this is shaq hurting his third team in a row. he is just out there in the way and lebron is just doing so much for the team his teammates are starting to just watch him now kind of like players used to do with kobe. this is some stuff im seeing what do u guys think the problem is

Russell0WestbrookParticipantgreat game for reke more turnovers than assist and 10 points on 16 shots. this is the nba he better learn the position and work on his shot

gainsey15Participanthmmmm anyway back to the topic… i think it’s to early to say that shaq is hurting the team… but i feel that the shaq signing was a mistake wrong coach… i hate the cavs offense give the ball to lebron at the top of the key and we all stand around and i think they need to play at a faster pace….

IndianaBasketballParticipantIn their first two games, the Cavs haven’t played great defense or moved the ball very well. All they’re doing is playing LeBron ball again. It’s almost starting to get annoying. They’d be a better team if they ran more and allowed someone else to create, while LeBron slashed from the wing. Like Barkley said… LeBron works too hard to get his points. He should be getting 8-10 easy points every game just by slashing.
I said this during the summer… The Cavs have a 37 year old starting center and a 34 year old as his backup. Their starting power forward is overrated and really a backup center. They’ll have a good record this year, but I don’t think they’ll beat the Celtics or Magic in the playoffs.

Russell0WestbrookParticipantway they are playing they will have a tough series with anybody. they do need to let everybody play their positions and stop depending on lebron to do everything. oh yeah i see nobody commented about reke cuz he did suck it up

quincey hodgesits only natural that shaqa game is declining…im not sure why its so suprising..alot of people were thinking his game was just gonna get better..father time is wearing away at him..although he can still get a double double

RUDEBOYCome fellas its early in the season..It’s good now that the Cavs lost their first 2 games..Now they see whut they need to work on..AND THATS GETTING a new coach…Mike Brown knows nothing about creating offensive plays..It seems like he says give the bal to Lebron and the rest of y’all fools get out of his way…Whenever Lebron takes a rest..Cleveland looks lost..And have problems creating offense…Shaq and Z are too slow to be on the court at the same time..Anderson is a good backup but he’s not a quality stater…Williams is overrated.. I hope Cleveland can get Stephen Jackson…Or make a trade for a power forward…Lebron is asked to do too much…

marcusfizer21ParticipantIt’s still way too early to make such hasty generalizations… But most of your points are right on the money… The Cavs started at 0-2 but hey, The Spurs started last season at 0-4 but finished the year with a 54-28 mark so let’s not make any rush decisions here… All your ideas are good and they do make sense…
Varejao is overrated… He is not worth $50 Million in my books… I would never spend big chunk of cash to sign a flopping expert… He may compliment LeBron well but so did Joe Smith… I’d take Average Joe anytime of the day over Varejao…
Shaquille is waaaaaaaay past his prime…. Like most experts said, he doesn’t have that power nor a dominating figure that he had during his Laker days. He is so much like Bill Goldberg… Goldberg was a dominating wrestler during his WCW days with a mean 176 straight wins but when he came to the WWE, he felt like he deserve to be on top more than the others and still felt like he’s still in 1998… Shaq still likes to think he is in 2000, the year where he became the League MVP and the dominating presence the NBA has ever seen in the millenium… Get over it… Father time is ticking Shaq… Tick..Tock…Tick…Tock…Tick…Tock…

Chicago1980ParticipantThe problem with the cavs so far is they cant score when lebron is not in the game they look lost and confused when he’s not in the game and that comes from the coaching staff. Also they dont have a scoring powerfoward Varejo is a decent backup but they need a forward that can score and hit a 10 foot jumper. Mike Brown has to be one of the worst coaches in the league.

NYK2010ParticipantNo true PG that why LeBron has to do so much, bench is weak even more with West out.
Big Z and Shaq both are old and slower neither very good defending the pick n roll.
Still don’t have a legit PF who can hit a 15 footer, teams know that and can leave the PF open.
They should’ve kept Joe Smith at least he can make those shots.
Varajeo is definately overrated he was a very good 6th man a few years ago but hasn’t gotten better.
Hard to win when guys are out of position and the Celts, Raps teams are loading with scorers at every position. On back 2 backs this teams gonna struggle.BTW anyone see the side interview with Shaq did he say he was the best when he was LeBron’s age.
He must be joking at 24 he wasn’t better Jordan amogst other. He wasn’t the best in the league till 2000.0 - Posted on: Thu, 10/29/2009 - 12:24am #224631
shannon92Participanteverything other then Lebron is the problem at the moment

Chicago1980ParticipantThose are some good points by NYK2010 especially the fact that they shouldve kept Joe Smith he can hit that 15 foot jumper consistently and they definitely can’t guard the pick and roll and they got a rough start to the season playing 4 game in 5 nights but at least they play Minnesota and Charlotte the next 2 games maybe they can get a win.

lalailaParticipantyes LeBron works too hard…I can bet than I watched a game and i can bet heplayed more PG tahn Mo Williams, all in all don’t get scared, lost game vs Cs wasn’t so freakish bad, and tonight it wasn’t LeBron’s night, eyah eyah triple double, but he struggled in creating his shot lot of times
