He laid another stinker tonight in Kentucky’s humiliating 64-48 loss to Vandy, going 2-15 from the field with a terrible 1/4 AST/TO ratio. This just about sums up UK’s and Harrow’s season. Will they part ways after this season? Will Harrow declare and hope to get drafted or maybe transfer? Or will he stick with Kentucky despite the fact that Andrew Harrison will likely get a lot of minutes at the PG spot next season.

Well this year was basically his only year to shine. I think he’ll end up being a back up the next two years. I always thought Cal brought him in thinking he’d be the next great PG to only have to play one year under him and go pro. He only had a one year plan for Harrow.

I thought he was going to be amazing and flashy this year to be honest. He’s probably been the most disappointing player of the year for me.

if he declares, who will draft him? he has no strength, no awareness or feel for the game as a PG. he hasnt had a good year at all IMO. he either stays and hopes to have a Darius Miller-like career at Kentucky or transfer out. Either way, going pro is not the answer.

He’s not an NBA prospect to me at the moment, and I don’t see why there’s so much fascination about this guy. Other than his ball handling, there’s nothing impressive about him, he’s barely good enough to be a starting college PG. I’ve seen players who were more talented and more productive and still couldn’t make it in the league (ex. Kenny Satterfield).

If I were him I’d just go to a smaller school. I like what the poster above said about having a Darius miller like career but I don’t think he will do that. Just Go to a small school, ball out, and hope to get a nba or overseas offer

he’s a scrub. he better stay all four years and learn how to play better basketball or he’s screwed over. he won’t play at kentucky and like mess.eee just stated, there are more talented guys that have played the point that didn’t make it. i would take a kenny satterfield any day over harrow. i would take an older troy bell today in the italian league over a ryan harrow. he’s one of those dudes that i wish would go in the gym i play at to see where we would stack up against him. those and one style players with no defense playing glory ball and dribbling to much and get posted up all day long are what fundamentalist eat up on a daily basis. he really is terrible. surprised me how awful he is. he could also use a better coach instead of a great recruiter with a sales pitch, but don’t get me started on that. harrow is done! if he proves me wrong, i will be really shocked.

Dude…wtf? He isn’t terrible…lol He’s had a rough year and had some pretty awful games but he’s shown flashes he can play for money one day. And a better coach? are you serious? You can’t count on one hand the number of coaches who are equal or better in the college game than Coach Cal…quit listening to sports talk radio..

Harrow’s underachieved but most who follow the program knew what kind of player he was before the season and didn’t expect him to be a world beater…

He will struggle playing overseas unless he is playing at a lower level. The top foreign leagues are better than college.

He could transfer. He can go somewhere and start over and that might be good for him. But if he stays at UK he will be part of a great program. Practice against NBA caliber players and that will only make him better. He can be a solid back up and have a wonderful two years.

I bet he returns, has a solid offseason and uses this season as motivation to get better… all of this to provide coach Cal with some veteran leadership and ball-handling off the pine

The reason Harrow got so hyped in the first place was because, Cal told the public, he used to kill Marquis Teague in practice, while I dont believe that was 100% true, I do think Harrow did use to hold his own against Teague at times, and with Cal seeing that I think he thought over that summer with alot of hardwork Harrow could be his next good PG.

But it didn’t work like that, even when I saw harrow projected a lottery pick, I thought this website was out of their mind, the guy is 150 pounds, and is not a pure PG and has no feel for the game, and people were actually on here really saying he was better than Teague!!!! HAHA, Teagues potential was wayyyyyyyyyyy higher than Harrow’s, Harrow is technically a junior and really hasn’t made much strides in his game.

I think Harrow’s best bet, is to leave and go pro this year, or work very hard his last 2 years, mostly in the weight room, and go from there, I can’t remember the last 6’0 155 pound guard besides Rondo and Iverson, but Harrow isn’t as athletic as either of them, and that as well was overrated to me, Harrow might have been athletic in the lay-up line, but it’s a totally different ball game, when your only 150 pounds and can’t get past that bump and explode off the ground and rise like you want to.

Strength is a huge factor for Harrow.

He is a mediocre college basketball player. He will definitely be a bench player next year, unless if he transfers and becomes the good ole 23 year old junior (which always screams NBA) Lets face it, I have no idea why people were hyping him when he was at NC State, or when he transferred, or why he is even still being discussed. He wasn’t good this year, neither was Kentucky, its time to move on from this NIT bound team and all of its players.

More interestingly, to me, is what WCS, Goodwin, and Poythress do. All of them will probably be coming off the bench/splitting minutes next year. James Young to me looks like he has James Harden potential, The twins are definitely more talented than Goodwin, and the Dakari Johnson will probably playing comparably to WCS. I know these guys could be starters next year due to experience, but all of them could end up on the bench because of how balanced they will be, and how good their freshman may be. I’m not saying all of them must go but if all of them were to stay they are going to have a log jam at almost every position even if they don’t get Randle.

He needs to hit the books. There are a TON of point guards out there. Even if he picks it up he isn’t guaranteed to get drafted.

Why exactly should he transfer? Why would he declare? I guess some people have never heard of the term back up. Some of you keep saying how bad he is and he should transfer but if he’s so bad what would transfering do but make him a bad player on another team. He will play the back up role nxt year and might start some games due to Andrew having a couple freshmen issues that young players tend to have and his brother will have those moments as well. Comi off e bench doesn’t mean you barely play, remember Darius Miller?

Being relegated to a backup role and getting 10-15 minutes would destroy whatever little draft stock he has left.

10-15min? Darius Miller was a 6th man and got 26 min a game. Harrow will be backing up the PG and shooting guard spot, he will easily get at least 22min a game and it might even help his draft stock since he won’t have much pressure. Transferring twice is surely not going to help his stock especially since he would lose a year (already transferred once) unless he goes to a D2 school. Plus aren’t people saying he is not that good of a player, so if that’s the case his draft stock isn’t going anywhere regardless. Some players just aren’t good enough to get drafted and he might be one of those players. Simple

Why is this a topic? The kid is a sophmore he has TWO years of eligibility remaining and much to improve on. So what he wasn’t a one year under Calipari and NBA bound type of point guard. Some players take a little bit of time to develop
