Chozen2Bgreat1Participantwhat the knicks should do if they cant sign lee do a sign and trade with portand and get jared bayless who the blazers are shopping and grab rudy or martel with a front court player like frythe knicks can make the playoffs. this gives the depth a future 1 and a soild 2.
or do a trade with the bulls and get thomas and hinrich
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/28/2009 - 9:53am #191858

knicksfreakParticipantWho said the Blazers are shopping Bayless? Last I heard he was untouchable.
If any SF is available its Outlaw.
Frye is on the Suns now.
Chicago has shown no interest in Lee. Anyways, Hinrich and Thomas’s contracts add up to roghly 15 million. Someone else wold have to be involved.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/28/2009 - 9:57am #191859

Knicksboy34ParticipantThe Bulls have interest in Lee.
I say go deal Lee to Utah and try to add Boozer and CJ Miles
resign Nate Robinson
Add Jonathan Bender for Vet’s minimum (this is a rumor), Von Wafer for the Bi-Annual minimum and Ramon Sessions for the MLE

Chozen2Bgreat1Participanthere is the post confirming that they are shopping bayless

Chozen2Bgreat1Participantboozer dont fit in to the system the knicks are running and he is slow plus he wants to go to mia and he has said it many times
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/28/2009 - 10:05am #191862

Knicksboy34ParticipantHe does not have a no trade clause…he goes wherever Utah sends him
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/28/2009 - 10:07am #191863

knicksfreakParticipantWhere did you see that Chicago had interest in Lee? link? Is it just speculation?
Do not re-sign Nate. Let Douglas grow and Nate takes alot of bad shots.
Who else would be included in the Boozer deal?
I dont like getting Bender. We dont need him on the IR. How many players do you think fit in our rotation?
Harrington
Jeffries
Curry
Hughes
Duhon
Chandler
Gallinari
Hill
Darko
Douglas
Nate?
Lee?
Sessions?
Bender?
Wafer?
Crawford?
Almond?Who’s the odd man out?
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/28/2009 - 10:08am #191865

knicksfreakParticipantI wouldnt mind renting Boozer for a season. We have nothing to lose by possibly making the playoffs. If we add Boozer and sign Sessions I think Playoffs for sure.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/28/2009 - 10:09am #191867

Knicksboy34ParticipantCurry is the odd man out…
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/28/2009 - 10:11am #191868

Chozen2Bgreat1Participanti know what you saying but add him for one year we should just sign lee to a one year then he already knows the system and his role and he is a proven double double in that system as well so boozer to me is a no go lets get things lined up up for next year and get bayless a young pg with good potental and a sg to start right now we dont have a 1 round pick and we need pg for the future the knicks need a pg ny is all about the next best pg if you live in ny you already know what mean
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/28/2009 - 10:12am #191869

knicksfreakParticipantI guarantee you that the Knicks will play Curry to try to get his stock up. I’ll bet my life on it. Same for Jeffries who doesnt deserve minutes hes so horrible.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/28/2009 - 10:14am #191871

Chozen2Bgreat1Participantsession is a dead deal walsh dont want to give him what money of mle bucks will match that offer sessions is interested but the knicks are holding off .
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/28/2009 - 10:15am #191872

Knicksboy34ParticipantTrue, We need to wait on some sucker teams to try to take Curry’s deal. I live in NY so we should grab Sessions
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/28/2009 - 10:15am #191873

knicksfreakParticipantLee doesnt want to sign for one year. He might have to if he gets no offers though.
I’d love to get Bayless but I think that is very unlikely. He’s more of a combo than a point too.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/28/2009 - 10:17am #191874

knicksfreakParticipantSessions deal isnt dead yet. The Bucks probably wouldnt match because they have Jennings and are in financial turmoil. Clippers are the biggest competition still. The Knicks are waiting to see what happens with Lee and Nate.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/28/2009 - 10:20am #191875

Knicksboy34ParticipantSessions doesnt wanna go to LAC because he doesnt wanna share time with Telfair
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/28/2009 - 10:22am #191876

knicksfreakParticipantHe will if the money is right. I still think the Knicks are frontrunners for him though if they want him.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/28/2009 - 10:45am #191889

Chozen2Bgreat1Participantthe clippers are trying to work a sign and trade for session for telfair but the bucks dont want telfair

Chozen2Bgreat1Participant - Posted on: Tue, 07/28/2009 - 2:05pm #191972

sheltwon3ParticipantI see the Knicks keeping Lee and Nate on one year deals which was their plan all along. Sessions is stuck. He may have to play another year in Milwaukee or take a two year deal with a player option for the second year from the Clippers. Clippers may try to move Baron Davis in the future some grabbing Session now is not that far off but this would not help Sessions. Walsh is not stupid and has too much leverage to give anything up now especially when he can sign Tinsley on a one year deal. Tinsley will be on his best behavior probably and he is a slight upgrade over Duhon who ran out of gas late and would be solid back up. Douglas and Hill will have to wait a year to get more minutes which is smart.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/28/2009 - 2:13pm #191979

Knicksboy34ParticipantSessions will have to either take the deal from NY ( 26 mil/ 5 yrs rumored) or stay in Milwaukee
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/28/2009 - 5:40pm #192194

Cameron Crazy 22ParticipantI would give Patrick Ewing Jr. a shot before Wafer or Bender. He can play and hustles
although i would like to see Bender try to make it back….
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/29/2009 - 10:35am #192499

knicksfreakParticipantEwing Jr. didnt even play in the Summerleague for us unfortunately. I was really hoping he’d make the team but I dont see it happening.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/29/2009 - 10:37am #192501

Knicksboy34ParticipantLooks like the Knicks are gonna add Wafer and Tinsley
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/29/2009 - 10:39am #192503
FutureoftheGameMan. I really wanted to see Tinsley in Miami to help Chalmers develop.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/29/2009 - 10:45am #192507

knicksfreakParticipantThat sucks. I dont want Tinsley. Never was a big fan and I wanted Douglas to get minutes at the point. Dont mind wafer though. I guess that a wrap for the Gerald Green dream.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/29/2009 - 10:47am #192510

gatorheelsParticipantI agree picking up Tinsley is not a good look. I’m neutral about Wafer. I don’t understand why the Knicks don’t target players that can really make a difference like Sessions or Big Baby.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/29/2009 - 10:53am #192513
FutureoftheGameIf Big Baby when to the Knicks, he could probably slim down and D’Antoni would try to play him at the three. I dont think that would be bad for Davis. Afterall, he realy doesnt use is size for anything but deception. His size makes him look slow and immobile. If he could drop 15 pounds, he would be quicker and have more vert. Could be verry verry good in the D’Antoni system.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/29/2009 - 11:05am #192519

knicksfreakParticipantNot a Big Baby fan and the Knicks only solid position is the 3. We dont need any more. Tinsley will do nothing except take minutes from our young players. How will Duhon, Tinsley, Nate, Douglas, Hughes, and Wafer compete for minutes at the guard spot? That also means that Chandler and Gallinari wont be getting any minutes at the 2 where they can create mismatches with their size.
I dont want any more moves except signing Sessions if possible and signing Green. Last years playoffs showed us how important it was to have long athletic wing players. Green is almost 6’9″ with freak athleticism and we can get him for much cheaper than Wafer who is coming off of a strong season.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/29/2009 - 11:52am #192547

gatorheelsParticipantYeah I would rather have Green than Wafer considering the money they demand. Also Big Baby would just depend on if Lee leaves or not. If Lee goes Big Baby could start at the 4. Hill can play minutes at Center I believe. I think Chandler needs to play SG & start at that position. Let Gallinarit start at SF. Nate needs to go. Douglas is a solid combo guard.
FutureoftheGame- I would like to see Big Baby try to play SF. That is an interesting point of view. The problem is I don’t think it would work but who knows. He would have trouble scoring from that position not to mention he would be a liability on defense.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/29/2009 - 11:54am #192549
FutureoftheGameThat’s true. Do you think he could stand to lose a few pounds?
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/29/2009 - 11:58am #192551

gatorheelsParticipantIf he went to the Knicks he would need to lose some weight in order to run the floor better in that uptemp offense. It just depends on what team he goes too I guess & what they need him to do. If he is on a halfcourt type team then I think he shouldn’t lose weight because that is what makes him affective for Boston. He uses his size to push people around and get rebounds. He has pretty quick feet for a big boy ha. That fact that he has developed a solid midrange jumper makes him an intriguing free agent.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/29/2009 - 11:59am #192553

Knicksboy34ParticipantEh, I’m not that high on Big Baby. He had good 20 game run…I wanna see a full season of being a solid backup..
