     I know the Thunder won the game, but coach Brooks did not play Russell Westbrook the ENTIRE 4th quarter. How on earth can you sit on your Allstar pointguard who had a triple double two games away the entire 4th quarter. That blows my mind

     Because the second unit was playing fantastic, and Westbrook needed this. He’s made to many bone headed plays that has single handedly lost them games. Maybe this will be a humbling factor for him.

    What amazes me is how little knowledge you have. Listen, Westbrook is a very talented guy. But hes continued to cost them in close games. It was basically tied, the bench gave OKC a steady league, so the coach felt he should leave those guys in since they are getting the job done. Westbrook isnt Derrick Rose. Westbrook isnt Lebron James. Its not insane for him to sit when the other players are playing better.

    maynor was doing a good job running the offense. this is no knock against Westbrook. More coaches should implore this idea. Go with the guy that is hot.

    What Brooks did was risky but it turned out to be the best thing for the team to win, the bench played ridiculously well today, Maynor did a good job of taking care of the ball and finding the right guys, Harden did well scoring and finding teammates as well, Collison hustled like crazy and did as good as a job you can do on Dirk in the fourth quarter. Cook did a good job of knocking down threes and was very agressive and they all knew to give Durant the ball when it mattered, no disrespect to Westbrook for I think he is a great player, he tends to ignore Durant in crucial parts of the game and tries to do it all himself, he doesn’t do it all the time but enough times to make you question his play.

    Russell = 4 TO

    Maynor = 0 TO (including pressure minutes in the 4th quarter)

    The offense ran smoother with Maynor, getting everyone involve.

     it was the right move, go with what is working.
    if maynor started to struggle i am sure westbrook would be back in the game but eric played well did not turned the ball over and made clutch plays and in the end they won the game.

     How little knowledge I have? Maybe YOU didnt see how horrible their offense during the last 3 minutes. There was serveral possessions where Maynor got trapped and it was a horrible Thunder possession. Thats when Russell Westbrook had calmed down and it was time for him to come back in. The game was close at the end. I am glad the Thunder won but this could have easily went the other way.

    Maynor: team high +18

    Westbrook: team low -12

    Not an outrageous move by Brooks.

    They got the win with Russ on the bench, it doesn’t surprise me, harden and maynor always seem to make the right play and westbrook makes head scratching ones on a consistent basis, yeah he had 40 in at 3OT game but if you had watched it wouldn’t have gone to OT if he hadn’t made so many bad decisions and taking bad shots down the stretch.  Good for Scott Brooks.

     eric had ZERO turnovers and he was putting the ball on harden and kevin hands and that was all he needed to do. Both this guys took over the game westbrook wasn`t necessary for the win.

    I think people forget that when Deron Williams went down, Maynor held Utah together and put up similiar numbers until he came back.  Jazz had to trade him to keep Milsap and get under the cap.  Maynor should be a starter in this league but for OKC he is a bkup.

    It was obvious even beyond stats that Maynor was more steady than Westbrook was. The Thunder, throughout the ENTIRE game played better and more efficient when Westrbook wasn’t on the floor.
