cavairo7ParticipantLooking at the Bobcats right now, we know that they aren’t going anywhere so why not try and get as much young talent as possible. If I were them, I would try to make a trade with Portland for the #6 and #11 picks and Nolan Smith for D.J. Augustin and the #2 pick. Then Charlotte can take a guy like Harrison Barnes or Perry Jones III at the 6 and a power forward like Sullinger and Moultrie with the 11th.
Anyways this is just one suggestion. All I know is that they need to get good young talent to help speed up the rebuilding process and I don’t know about you guys but just getting Thomas Robinson would leave me queasy as a Bobcats fan. I really feel like there is no discrepancy between 2-7 in this draft and 8-14 is still not bad due to the upside some of these players have.

llperezas you mentioned, the number 2 pick is not a real strong spot since the differnce among the top 10 guys is very little after davis. I dont really see how they turn that pick into multiple quality pieces. I say just go with the best guy available and hope kemba, biyombo and hendersons and the other guys develop this summer and the fans get interested in the team next year. If im them i draft gilchrist.

Wahoo757ParticipantIt’s really difficult to tell what the Bobcats are going to do this soon. I’m sure they’d like to trade the #2 pick but there’s not much value there so teams probably won’t be willing to give up that much. As of now I think there are 4 players that could get selected at #2: Thomas Robinson because he seems like he has a high floor and would make a promising duo betwern him and Biyombo, MKG because the Bobcats defense is abysmal and MKG is the best perimeter defense in the draft, Barnes because he’s a good scorer from the wing (and he has the UNC connect with MJ), or Andre Drummond because I think he has by far the most potential of the players available.

SwatLakeCityParticipantIt wouldn’t be a bad idea if the Blazers and Bobcats do a trade, but I just don’t think Nolan Smith is the guy to be moved. He was just drafted last year. I think the Blazers would like to see what they have in him. He could be a valuable guy off the bench in the future. Maybe Jamal Crawford, or Johnny Flynn, or Wesley Matthews. Crawford or Flynn might be the best bet on being moved.

cavairo7ParticipantNeeds a point guard so I think that they might listen if the Bobcats were to give them Augustin, who is a better pg than anyone else in this draft. If they believe that to be the case, why not take the proven vet and 1 unproven young guy than 2 proven young guys? Just saying.

aamir543ParticipantLook, whoever their talent scouts evaluate as the best player, they’ll select him, but it will be either MKG, Beal, or Drummond if he has a sensational combine, or even Barnes if MJ is feeling some UNC pride.

SpacegrassParticipantTake whoever you think will help you the most going forward , suck again next year and get another top 4 pick and hope you can attract some free agents. The Bobcats suck so you can’t fix their issues in a season or two , it will take at least 3 years to right this ship. Also hire a good respectable coach that will thrive coaching a young immpressionable team.

Tune SquadParticipantconsidering they could grab a Brad Beal and Arnett Moultrie, and the Blazers could grab Drummond (no jokes please, I’m trying not to laugh). It looks good on paper anyways despite it 97% for surely not happening, it has potential to benefit both teams.

dolla33i honestly think bobcats should just try to get the hornets 10 pick or blazers 11 pick and trade dj and maggette or henderson a future draft pick and money whatever works! draft HARRISON BARNES because he has everything you looking for from a foward he can score rebound creates opportunities for teammates andnot affraid 2 play defense he a better version of luol deng he can be easy 18 and 6 foward for the first year. then with the 10 or 11 pick get AUSTIN RIVERS i no it sounds crazy but this kid is good and has a killer crossover plus he been playing against nba caliber players all his life. he looks like a franchise player if the bobcats can get him he can give them atleast16 points 4 rebounds and 4 assists a game for his first year. the with the first pick in the second they should draft draymDRAYMOND GREEN (brandon bass, dejuan bliaror glenndavis)type player he an undersize foward he still can get rebounds he was good player for michigan st he can come of the bench and give game changing plays and work really hard to win.. FREEAGENCY build around harrision and rivers get a good quailty center or power foward that just want rebounds and love to play d byron mullens could play center or foward and he good because he can shoot he can cause alot of problems for centers and fowards in the league.i would test out greg oden buts it too risky but you never know. that what my bobcats needs to do but watch jordan gonna mess it up for us

sheltwon3ParticipantI hope they are smart and grab Barnes. They need a go to scorer who can shoot. Gilchrist is nice but he is not the shooter and scorer they need. Also T Rob is nice but pairing him with Biyombo may not work.

ChrisCrossParticipantthey should take whoever they like the most, MKG, Drummond, Robinson, Beal, Barnes, or whoever, take that guy. Just face facts they’re still gonna be bad, o one player can turn them around in one year. When you suck this much, it’s gonna take a while to turn it around, so just be patient and draft well and they’ll be fine, in like 3-5 years.

draft2017ParticipantFor some reason i feel like they’re going to take Drummond, pair him up with Biyombo. Jordan is the same person that took Kwame Brown, so it wouldnt suprise me.

kobyzParticipanti don’t know if it realistic and if it accepted from the Portland side but i think it will be good for Bobcats to trade #2 pick and #31 for #6 and #11, then to draft Jeremy Lamb at six to make a reunion at the backcourt between him and Kemba and at eleven to draft Tyler Zeller to bring a local product and to pair him as an offensive big to Byombo the defensive big!
