zauerbachParticipantAs a huge knick fan, i was wondering what everyone thinks they should do in the draft
should they stay at the 8th spot and see who they can draft there
trade up and try to get rubio
or should they trade down and get some more picks and maybe a 1st rounder for next year which they dont have0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/24/2009 - 6:08am #152710
TexasFan101Participantthey def shouldnt get rubio, he isnt their kind of guard. Imagine if they could trade down and get Stephen Curry to play PG/SG or Ty Lawson. They need someone

KevinDurantRocksParticipantYou make a great point that the knicks don’t have a pick for next year (if that is true). And since I dont seem them getting better with this pick unless the get Jennings and he turns out to be great I would acquire a pick next year along with one this year where they could get Lawson or a big who can shoot the ball. They have stated that Curry is the guy there taking which to me makes since in a the Knicks system but to me I would trade down like 4 picks and acquire Tyreke Evans that guys is a beast if he could shoot the ball better he would be great

Michael.S.ParticipantHow is Rubio not their kind on point guard he is an uncanny playmaker and he’s great on the break,I think they should make a run for him or jennings because he also is a great playmaker and he also thrives on the break can create for himself and others as he’s a super athletic finisher, and blazing quick on the break,I hate curry for their system because he can’t create for others and can’t run a fast break ,or get in the lane

Untouchable JParticipantYall are silly.
Drafting Curry b/c he ‘fits their system’?…This is a players league, not a coaches league. In 4 yrs when Dantonio is gone they will wonder what the hell they picked him for and passed up on Derozan, Evans, Holiday, etc.
In order of if they are avail., they should be looking at Jennings, Derozan, Evans, Holiday.

KevinDurantRocksParticipantI don’t like Curry’s game but from the Knicks distorted view they think he would fit

RemarqParticipantStephen Curry is an Isiah Thomas type pick. Honestly, if he were still there, they’d be drafting Curry too… Absolutely horrible pick.

QHaynes123Curry is a terrible pick!!!! I only have him there b/c it seems like a lock.
I personally think they should Trade down ad then trade out.
read my mock draft 3.5

Flash_Scout_5ParticipantCurry is the worst pick at that spot. To me Curry is lil over rated be cause of his collge career at Davdsion. If i was the Knicks i would take Tyreke Evans or move up to get Brandon Jennings. Also keep David Lee.

knicksfreakParticipantIsiah Thomas is actually a great drafter Remarq. He got steals like Lee, Ariza, Nate and Chandler for us. He would never pick Curry. Thats the one thing I wish the knicks let him still do. He would have gone after Jennings who is explosive like him. Every player he has drafted has been an explosive athlete. It would be nice to get into next years draft but teams wont want to give up their picks in next years star-studded draft. We should trade down to Chicago at 16 and 26 or Minnesota at 18 and 28. We can get players like Johnson, Williams, Mullens, and a solid point like Teague, Mills, Lawson, Maynor or even Holiday if he falls.
