They really need a PG or a center. They need a Kendrick Perkins type of guy, they should go for him after this season regardless of what happens from here on but maybe someone like Kaman could be had for some expirings or something. Or maybe go for Baron to help there PG spot. Baron could go for little value since he has almost none right now. Or should they try and trade for a top knotch  shooter and make LBJ a full time PG?

I feel like if they gave a 1st up they could get Oden or Baron. I feel like Oden would help more and apparently Portland doesnt feel as committed to him as they used to.

i think all they need is a true experienced PG. not  even a Baron type. if they were to get  PG who can hit open shots but be fine with taking a back seat to the big three then they will be ALOT better in my opinion. I think TJ Ford would be a good steal for Miami if they could some how land him because i think his value has declined quite a bit. Ridnour or Jwill would also be good fits there. I think Sebastion Telfair would fit in well even though hes not much of a veteran. as far as centers….Big Z and Anthony are both good backups but they need a quality guy who can start and play over 30 mins. I like how Anthony Tolliver and Earl Barron played last year but if they got Greg Oden somehow next year and he stayed healthy i think it would be over

They need a center more than a point guard..

So far this season the Heat big men have made Okafor and Big Baby look like Hall of Famers..

They really should’ve got Dampier when he was available. Kenyon Martin’s deal is expiring at the end of the season, and I think he’ll jump to the Heat for the MLE.

Oh and Oden won’t be going to the Heat. He’ll probably end up in Minnesota, where they’re big on potential and they’ve got plenty of cap space to make a run on his Restricted Free agent contract.

Baron Davis would be a terrible fit on Miami.

He’s a terrible three-point shooter and shooter in general. He doesn’t push the ball anymore and would be pretty much useless when LeBron or Wade has the ball.

Yeah, B-Diddy wouldn’t fit at all. They would have a backcourt with three ball-dominant players who can’t shoot. I like the House, Chalmers and Miller combo so far. Let’s see how that works out when all of them are healthy before asking for new guys.

You’re right about the center position though but it will be hard to get Perkins. Dampier would have been a solid fit also, but they didn’t get him, I wonder why. Weren’t they offering him more than 2mil? Did he choose Houston over Miami because they payed him a million more?

Should do what they have been doing, trying to figure out the best possible line-ups and scenarios as well as learning the best way to play together. They have done pretty well so far, they have lost two games to two teams that have played quite well thus far, and they were in both of those games. Once Jerry Stackhouse and Mike Miller gain a role on the team, I think it will help even more, but for now, I do not think there is a lot wrong with the Heat. Expectations were so crazy, it takes time, but I do not think there is reason to panic. Did you see them against Orlando? That team has the best Center in the league, and an All-Star PG. Yes, Emeka Okafor had a crazy game, and Rondo did very well in that first game, but I would like to see them play in Miami, where I think it might be a different story. I think the Heat will be a decent road team, but incredibly difficult to beat at home. I have a feeling they might win 38-39 home games, if not win them all. They will feed off the positive energy, and have a tough time with the jeering on the road, it is common. Hell, when Boston won the championship, they went through two 7 game series where they only won at home, and barely won anything on the road. But, they had home court advantage. I really think the Heat will as well. Do you really think the Hornets will end with a better record? Also, I have a feeling that the season will end with the Heat having the best record, regardless of the fact they have (gasp) 2 losses right now to the Lakers 0.

I’m not so sure that the Heat will finish with a better record than the Lakers. The Lakers are the better basketball team right now, and that’s without Andrew Bynum who’s an All-Star caliber center.

Low post scoring and defense are legit problems for the Heat. Howard probably would’ve scored 40 if not for getting into foul trouble in the third quarter.

Lakers are rolling right now… They are already forgetting who Andrew Bynum is…lol

Heat are vulnerable at the PG and C position… Okafor made it look obvious when he dropped 26 and 13 against them…

to be fair okafor has been playing very well. but i dont get arroyo playing. i think chalmers should be getting more time. he can shoot and is a decent defender(he gambles too much tho). as far as centers go, they dont need a kaman. of course perkins and oden would be ideal but thats just not going to happen. dampier would have been good. kwame brown i think would have been a good fit. and earl barron is still out there i think. so i think miami is content right now. they want to give this team so time to gel before adding yet another new face.

True, he might have scored 40, but the foul trouble thing, it happened. It more than likely will continue to happen. This team is incredibly difficult to match-up with. I still do think the Heat finish a better record than the Lakers. They have gotten off to a great start, but they have not seemed unbeatable either. They are playing better ball than the Heat in a few games, but they have had a couple close calls against some teams that have not exactly been playing lights out. Still, 6-7 games in to the season I still have a feeling that the Heat could indeed finish with a better record than the Lakers. Looking at their schedule, they could easily be 12-0, but the season is a marathon and not a sprint. Every team seems to have struggles during the season, and I could see the Lakers having their fair share at a point. Still, while the Lakers may indeed be the better team, they were better than the Cavs as well, who still finished with a better regular season record the past two years. The heat are built to kill the regular season, and while they have already lost to two teams the Lakers could easily lose to as well but have not yet played, they have killed everyone else. So, yes, I do think the Heat will finish with a better regular season record. What happens in the play-offs however, will be that the best team will win. While I want the Heat too, I could definitely see a scenario with the Lakers being that better team.

I think Chalmers is still recovering from injury, he was a good defender and average shooter. I like him at the PG spot.

A 36 year old Alonzo Mourning would be perfect for the Heat right now. I guess they won’t have a a chance at a championship if they don’t improve that spot with a veteran who would join them for a small salary. I don’t know if there is even someone available.

and the Hornets are playing well with Okefor and West in the front court…If anyone got moved it would be West and Bayless, but that doesn’t help the Heat’s issue at Center or Pg…would it…Nice thought although The Bugs would take a tiny step back for a few weeks added Bosh and losing West and Bayless…They would want to keep a defender behind Bosh…But that is a Solid deal…

David West and Jerryd Bayless for Chris Bosh and Carlos Arroyo….Classic two for two…maybe the Hornets trade a 2nd rounder too…

    Hornets lineup

    Paul-Arroyo

    Thorton-Bellinelli-Green

    Ariza-Peja-Alexander

Man, I have to say, of your bad trade ideas, this is one of the worst. I know it is easy right now to hate on Chris Bosh since the Heat are not undefeated, but why the hell trade him for David West? Also, while I too am a big fan of Bayless, his addition to this team is not really something they need at all. Truly a wack trade man. Chris Bosh is a very good player, and it will be seen eventually. I mean, they called it the Big 3 because it was 3 guys who could sign near max contracts, but everyone knew that Wade and LeBron were on a different stratosphere than CB. To me, Paul Pierce and KG were always much better than Ray Allen as well, so it is somewhat similar. People need to chill on the Heat needing this and that, I do not think they are in panic mode yet. I also completely believe that Chris Bosh is a much better player than David West, who I think has been one of the more overrated PF’s in the NBA the past couple years. People are complaining about Bosh’s rebounding, but realize West averaged 7.5 PPG this past year. Give Chris Bosh some time to adjust, he is in a very different role, but he is still the best 3rd option in the game, and trading him for David West and Jerryd Bayless would be straight up stupid. Sorry man, I truly believe this, sometimes I think the trades you come up with are almost dreams of crushing teams you do not want to succeed, and we all know the way you feel about LeBron, lol.

What if Miami scored Rudy? Daniel Gibson would be a nice fit in Miami also.
