With close to no cap space and so little assets, what can they do ?

Is Doc "the genius (sarcastic) GM" going to sign Perkins ?

    Sign McGee and pray ?

Stoudemire said he was interested…Did he knew something ?

Trade Jamal Crawford ? That makes sense but who ?

    Really suprised DJ left.

There are some trade possibilities, but that is a serious blow.

    Thoughts and theories ?

They should try to swing a trade for Hibbert. It sounds like Indy is trying to dump him. Probably thier best shot at a true starting center.

It would be tough to find a way with thier cap situation. Let’s see if " the genius"can figure it out.

If he’s a Free Agent I would look into signing him…

But if he’s an asset the 76ers have to trade at the moment, I would take Austin Rivers for Henry Sims straight up…

We need to clear some minutes for Okafor and hopefully Embiid so losing a serviceable body like Henry Sims makes sense if we can get a G back, Austin Rivers showed some progression last year but that was due to playing big minutes for a injured Paul or Crawford…

The perfect fit for the Clippers would be Nerlens Noel but they don’t have enough assets to get him IMO, they painted themselves in a corner financially but they still have a Stockton/Malone star duo in Paul and Griffin so they are still in playoff contention…

The Sixers didn’t tend Sims an offer so he’s currently an unrestricted free agent so unless they want to sign and trade him no trade is happening.

Kyle O’quinn or Biyombo if they can’t swing a trade, but I think they only have a couple mil. Not sure if they have their MLE…

If they got biyombo and javale McGee, they’d forget about dj pretty fast. I feel like those two together almost equals dj. Bismacks d and mcgees ability to run the floor and finish lobs. It wouldn’t be a lateral move, but would come as close to negating their loss as they’re going to get. Koufos would alter their style of play. I bet they wish they held on to spencer hawes

As it stands the Clippes will be running with a lineup of:

    ?

    Blake

    Pierce-Hamilton

    Reddick-Crawford

    Paul-Hudson

They had no draft picks, and so far have struck out in free agency. They got Pierce, but they didn’t really need him. They needed a SF who could defend, no shoot, and Pierce just isn’t a defender anymore. Now you can add defense and size to that list. Clippers were 15th in the league last year in D with Jordon, so you’re looking at a potential bottom of the barrel defensive team right here, which is going to be very conserning.

Clippers need to makes some moves, and just pray that some ring chasing vet wants to reach for the stars in LA, or else next season is going to be very bleak. They still have Blake/CP3, who are top 5 at their respective positions easily, so they can work from their. Signing a player like Brandon Bass to their bench would be ideal, an maybe Jordon Hill could come in and help push the tempo a bit. He didn’t play that bad in LA, and if he just focused on playing solid D and rebounding could be a Deandre-lite for the Clippers. Same could be said for Biyombo.

1st thing try to convince Mavs to do a sign and trade .that is top priority .IIRC they can ,right?
May be DJ will ask the Mavs to do so as a good gesture (and more money )
with that they will have 18M trade exception .that will give them plenty of option .a wait and see until oppurtunity comes approach ,trade for Hibbert or Nene who are both available for salary dump

Minnesota would be open to moving Pek and I would think the Wolves would give him up (and probably throw in another asset) for a 2nd round pick so they could shed the salary.  I know his injury history is well known but if the Clips are desperate he is worth the gamble and, when healthy, he’s a good player to have.  Now that KAT is in Minny and Dieng can back him up they seem to have some flexibility.

Peks injury history plus his salary will make him impossible to trade. There’s talk he might retire- he has basically cracked his ankles in half and just had surgery to lob off and replace a significant chunk of his achilles tendon. I would stay away if I were the clips. I like the idea of Javale and/or Bismack

    Miles Plumlee

    Kostas Koufus

Javale (if Doc thinks he can get through to him and get him to play smarter)

Jamal Crawford for Koufus in a sign-and-trade makes sense for both the Clippers and Grizzles.

    Cavs-Jamal Crawford, Jordan Farmar

    Clippers-Nene or Hibbert

Pacer or Clippers get their cost cutting move with Haywood contract that they waive.

koufas is still out there..he’s an under the radar free agent thatif given more minutes might have the same effect on a team that mosgov had on the cavs…

he’s a guy that blossomed in memphis…shot blocker, defender, can rebound, score around the rim and hit mid range shots….

     Monta Ellis dallas to Indy

    Hibbert  Indy to LA

    Jordan LA to Dallas.

Everybody wins. Simple. Makes the clippers save face.

That’s where lack of depth hurts so bad. One guy leaves and you’re in serious trouble.

And I’ve been saying this for days now. Even if you’re a good team:KEEP YOUR DAMN DRAFT PICK. They drafted horribly the last couple years, and traded their pick for this year. Now they have noone at the end of their bench who was developed and could contribute now. Look at what Houston did with Jones,Capela,Motiejunas etc… Clippers have none of that.
