festar35ParticipantOn your team what position (if they upgraded it) would make your team a lot better?

xbadgerhustlerParticipanthahaha my team is the timberwolves, so anything other than a PG or PF… but I couldn’t really comlplain if we added CP3… we just need help- badly.

darkman97ParticipantWell I’m a Timberwolves fan so I would start with a center to move Al Jefferson to play the PF. But we need so much help I’d be typing for days. PS also a Pacer fan and they just need a nice bench and they’ll be okay.

MagikKnickParticipantKnicks need a Center..David Lee is not capable of defending 7 footers
Knicks need a SG..Larry Hughes is playing good, but need depth at the position, and Nate isnt much help
Knicks need a PG..Chris Duhon sucks, Nate is great..but still sucks, and Douglas is still developing
Hell….Knicks need a new roster

RickyRubio9ParticipantWe don’t need much…how ’bout our Yao Ming and T-Mac healthy? 🙂
Within the next two weeks i hope for one of those to come true and pay off0 - Posted on: Thu, 11/19/2009 - 1:27pm #231486

festar35ParticipantPacers
A PG just don’t think TJ suits our style of play.
Maybe a PF as well but will see how Hansbrough develops.

JNixonParticipantA center, and we could use a backup PG but I’ll see how much Holiday develops

nepaliman_7Participantmine is the hornets
need an athletic sg who can score, a sf who can shoot and defend, and better big men off the bench0 - Posted on: Thu, 11/19/2009 - 1:34pm #231493
juves4783Participanti think the nuggs are pretty solid, but they could definitely upgrade their backup pf position. balkman is a great energy guy but i little small for pf and malik allen…well, is malik allen.

Bryant24ParticipantLakers we need a good starting point guard no disrespect to derek fisher but his time is up i think its time for jordan famar and shannon brown to step up derek fisher can still play but mentor them and we need for pau gasol to get healthy
0 - Posted on: Thu, 11/19/2009 - 1:47pm #231501

IndianaBasketballParticipantPau is healthy… He’s playing tonight vs the Bulls.
My squad is the Pacers.
I think we need a power forward who can score with his back to the basket, rebound AND defend. Hansbrough is nice, but he’s a role/energy guy at best.
I also think we’re going to need a new point guard. I have high hopes for TJ and am expecting him to breakout this season… So far, it’s not looking so good.

quincey hodgeslakers…..we just need to stop slacking some games and play harder all the time…i cant complain too much because we still won the title while playing that way but im alot more worried this year because botston is almost as talented and they bring it everynight.in the playoffs..with them if you beat them you beat them. with the lakers you beat them a well as they beating there selfs…

aarondsonixfanParticipantExperience… Also a physical 7 footer (center).. Etan Thomas and Nick Collison are very physical, but it would be nice if we had a 7 footer who would be a physical player rather than finesse (Krstic and Mullens). Everything else is basically good other than experience…

cheesepillowParticipant1) depth at 4 or 5 who can rebound/play defense (someone that’s still young)
2) slashing off guard (veteran, until Miles can come back) basically someone who can relief Brewer on certain nights

R-Dot-13ParticipantRaptors- SG
Id love JR Smith0 - Posted on: Thu, 11/19/2009 - 3:00pm #231525

butidonthavemoneyThe Jazz need a shotblocker. So center. Fesenko has been playing well as of late, so there is a little hope there.
The Pacers are my second favorite team, they could use a new point guard. I like TJ Ford but they need another Mark Jackson type. Somebody who can control tempo and pace, not make mistakes and make his teammates better. Jason Kidd, Andre Miller, Deron Williams, Chauncy Billups, somebody like that.
I also like the Timberwolves. They could really use an upgrade at the 3. I like some of the options there, Brewer, Gnomes, Ellington, but they would all be kind of playing out of position.

nateoak10Participanta small forward ( I’d like Joe Johnson) and a backup or an upgrade at center.. oh and too get healthy! But NO.1 is firing nellie

TheFactionCoalition.comParticipantThe Kings need a SF, they have a lot of decent players at SF but a stud SF would help them significantly. I have one guy in mind that would be a perfect fit. I know it won’t happen and a lot of people would LOVE to see this particular guy on their team but I think the best fit for the Kings during the offseason would be Joe Johnson and throw him at SF, I think he would make this Kings team a contender. Obviously coming into the offseason you want LBJ, but I think Johnson would be a PERFECT fit on this team over players like Wade and Bosh because he brings leadership, defense, versatility, athleticism, and inside/outside scoring. Right now they have Garcia (when healthy) Noch, Donte Greene (been great when he’s played this year) and Casspi. This team is scrappy and playing defense better than any time in recent memory. I like any of these guys off the bench and I think Greene is the most tradeable as he is starting to tap into his potential, and has a ceiling higher than any of the other players I just listed. If they did sign Johnson (although I doubt he would want to leave Atlanta) through a sign and trade of a combination of Greene, Kmart, and picks.
PG Beno Udrih
SG Tyreke Evans
SF Joe Johnson
PF Jason Thopson
C Spencer Hawes
Bench: Garcia, Casspi, Nocioni, Rodriguez, BrockmanIf a team is strong in 2 of the first 3 positions offensively (pg, sg, sf) you have Tyreke and Johnson guarding them. You may play Evans at the point throughout some games against some teams. I know there has been a bit of talk about whether Evans defense is good, but I think it’s very good, especially being a rookie. He has the ability to be on an all defense team. I’m not saying he’s there yet but did you see him against the Bulls? Pretty ridiculous.
The dream of all dreams is signing him w/out the sign and trade, but that’s even more unrealistic. Sadly, there is no way the Hawks let him go…0 - Posted on: Thu, 11/19/2009 - 3:48pm #231535

Lemons4LifeParticipantGilbert Arenas & Bosh or Amar’e>> 🙂
0 - Posted on: Thu, 11/19/2009 - 4:32pm #231550
boffacheeriosParticipanti have to disagree with you Faction. A good SF would help, but this season Hawes has just bent over for every player he’s been matched up with. DEFENSIVE CENTER, or hell just a good damn center.

B-ball fanParticipantThey aren’t going to spend money on about anybody, and they addressed their two biggest needs (length of the bench at C/pf, and a back-up wing/pg). It would help if they got a veteran pg who can play pg when Rondo isn’t in. Daniels can handle the ball so he takes care of that a little, but the Celtics need him to back-up the three and also play some two. He will play about three positions. The Celtics are extremely deep at center and power forward with Garnett, Perkins, Davis, Wallace, and Williams as the tenth man. Williams will play at the end of each half in blowouts with Davis in the line-up.

TheFactionCoalition.comParticipantI feel you on the Center thing, Hawes offense has been horrible this year, but he is usually pretty solid offensively so we will leave that alone. On defense he gets a few blocked shots, but isn’t a stopper by any means and really struggles against guys that are bigger/stronger than him. So he may be able to handle the Bargnani types better than some and get pwned by the Andrew Bynum types.
With that said look at the available FA’s for 2010 and if you can name a C that would make the team better than Joe Johnson would let me know. Unless Yao excercies his ETO…
IMO Bosh and Amare are better at PF and are not true centers and I would love either on the Kings (especially Bosh) but I would take JJ over either of them. I think Joe Johnson is the ideal player for the Kings and their tempo/style.
If you could get a poor man’s Kendrick Perkins to come off the bench behind Hawes that would be great, but those guys have never gotten much time to play in Sac0 - Posted on: Thu, 11/19/2009 - 5:40pm #231577

marcusfizer21ParticipantI’d love for DeAndre Jordan to wear a Bulls jersey… He can be a good center backing up or starting in place of Joakim Noah who can definitely fill up the 4 spot especially now that Tyrus Thomas is beginning to show poor attitude… Taj Gibson is a solid player but he’s no messiah…
0 - Posted on: Thu, 11/19/2009 - 5:43pm #231579
quincey hodgesstarting in place of noah???..lol..now thats funny…noah has been a beast this year..jordan woul dbe a third string center there too
0 - Posted on: Thu, 11/19/2009 - 6:03pm #231587

festar35ParticipantWhat about Jordan and Noah starting along side each other that’s a good big-man combo.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 11/19/2009 - 6:08pm #231588
quincey hodgesjordan starting?????…and noah at the pf?.do you know how clogged that lane would be..neither has range so they both would need to be near the basket to be effective on offense. then the lanes would be even more clogged for rose to drive. plus jordan isnt ready to be a starter..hes not even ready to be a good back up
