0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/07/2009 - 2:04pm #158127
j1232eParticipanttry everything they can possiblly do to get rid of randolph. I beleive he will be a bad preicence for blake.

Meditated StatesParticipantGet him the hell out. I would not want him around Blake or the team. Find someone, get the deal done fast, wash your hands of that dude. HE HAS TO ROLL OUT PEACE.

RicoParticipantTrade Kaman to the Bobcats for G Wallace

Knicksboy34ParticipantUse the Allan Houston rule on Zach Randolph… or just waive him
Trade Kaman to Charlotte for the 12th pick and maybe Ajinca?
Then with the 1st you go Griffin and maybe at 12 go Holiday or best PG there.

j1232eParticipanteven if you have to bring in worst contracts to get rid of him do it! I could even see a buyout as an option. Don’t even let him have a chance to speak to blake.

mb6297Allan Houston rule? He was the man. (you should be a lawyer)
I gave you a point nevertheless.

butidonthavemoneyI thought that was a one time thing. Are they doing it again?
They could just waive Randolph. He only has two years left on his contract and i don’t think any team will take him in a trade. It’s time to bite the 33 million dollar bullet.

j1232eParticipantIs beter to lose than another young talented player! If clipps ruin griffin, remove them from the league!
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/07/2009 - 2:38pm #158153

Knicksboy34ParticipantOops…it was a one time thing, but i never remembered the clips using it
Yea just do what Indiana did with Tinsley- pay him to stay away

juves4783Participanttry to trade randolph to cleveland for ben wallace straight up. wallace may not do much, but he should be a better chemistry guy and his contract ends sooner.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/07/2009 - 2:47pm #158155
j1232eParticipantThat trade actually sounds decent. Only if lebron sat him down and explained how to play team basketball. Randolph is an extemely talented basketball player but he lacks the term TEAM if any one could change him it would be lebron. Wallce is the total opposite player than randolph though all ben wants to do is rebound and play D. Which could be very valuable for griffin to learn. If that trade happend though Wallce would retire! But la clipps got rid of randolph!

auberParticipantHire a hit man to murder Zach Randolph. Dude’s attitude will kill that kid

butidonthavemoneyLOL
Game 7 in the 2010 NBA finals, 5 seconds left. Lakers 104, Cavs 103.
Pavolvic inbounding the ball. Ariza is covering LeBron well. Pavolic has to beat the 5 second limit. Pavolic throws the ball to Zach Randolph. LeBron shakes Ariza off! LeBron is open! LeBron is calling for the ball! Randolph runs out to the three point line and shoots a 32 footer over the outstretched arms of Pau Gasol…
Later that summer, LeBron signs a max contract with the New York Knicks and the Cavs are left to build around Zach Randolph and Mo Williams.

GoodbyeChandlerParticipantbutidonthavemoney, i dont think 5 seconds is enough time for randolph to get to the 3 point line.

butidonthavemoneyI had forgotten about that play. lol. Awesome
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/07/2009 - 6:54pm #158329

Mr. BasketballParticipanthere is a great summary of that play by bill simmons from espn:
“Gordon finally passes to Randolph, who takes two dribbles and …
(Oh no.)
Picks up his dribble and …
(Nooooooooooooooooooooooo!)
Launches a 28-foot 3-pointer with a hand in his face. His third air-balled 3 of the night. Actually, it was more than an air ball — it almost killed the ball boy.
Cavs ball, 1.8 seconds left.
The fans are in disbelief. Randolph’s teammates are in disbelief. Dunleavy is making a face that my friend Sal later describes as “A face I have never seen a human being make before.” What ensued in the next 20 seconds could best be described like this: Imagine being trapped in one of those big hospital elevators with eight other people. One of them pulls his pants down and just starts going to the bathroom — not No. 1 but No. 2. At that specific moment, the doors open for the next floor. How fast would everyone else in the elevator flee for the door? Lightning-fast, right? Like, Usain Bolt-level fast, right? That was the entire stadium after Z-Bo’s air ball. He basically took a dump on the 3-point line.”
lol.

te-real-dealParticipanti wonder iff the clippers could trade randolph to the bucks in exchange for richard Jefferson… or for gadzuric and ridnour… to fill the gap that villanueva will leave…
i think the bucks are the easiest place to ship Randolph too….

IndianaBasketballParticipantLOL… I remember watching that game & being in disbelief. I mean, I could NOT believe it. The look on Dunleavy’s face was priceless. It was hilarious because usually NBATV will show the postgame show or an interview or two after each game… However RIGHT after Randolph missed the shot, the screen went black!
The Clippers are going to have to deal w/ Randolph for at least one more season, because there won’t be any teams stupid enough to take back his contract. They’ll have better luck trading either Kaman or Camby.
