1st overall pick and that may not be enough for Cousins. That Wiggins/Love trade involved Wiggins, Bennett and Thad Young just to receive Kevin Love.

I made this point not long ago, and I’ll stick by it.

I honestly don’t think demand for Cousins is as high as a lot of people expect. Most franchises just wouldn’t want that baggage for a guy that isn’t as good as everyone makes him out to be. There’s a reason he’s always rumored to be on the trading block….

The Kings obviously want fair value talent-wise, but I just don’t think the offers are forthcoming.

K-Love trade was different. The Celtics don’t have an Andrew Wiggins talent and K-Love didn’t have the baggage.  The Twolves found a team that had highly desirable assets they were willing to spend (Cavs) who needed a single piece to put them over the top. There’s no team in the NBA like that right now.

Everyones looking to do deals with Boston & Philly. They’re both only interested in deals that can get them over the top. Cousins doesn’t do that…and giving up all their assets prevents that happening in the future.

I’d agree with the Kings wanting something like K-Love trade value for DMC. But I don’t see teams giving up Simmons or Ingram to take him. Plus Danny Ainge would not want his baggage I feel.

Philly have too many frontcourters already, Minny have no need for him. Lakers if they got 3rd pick might look to do a deal but Kings would want more so unless Randle was included I couldn’t see deal going down.

This is an interesting and tough question to answer. It really depends on which team gets the number one pick. In terms of talent, it is highway robbery if you can haul in Cousins for the 2016 number one pick. No one can do what Cousins can do. In  my opinion, I think his size and ability is the closest thing to GS Warrior Kryptonite…. if he can be a sane person. Which is the problem, his mental issues make him kryptonite to his own team.

For this reason, I would quickly deal Cousins for Ben Simmons or Ingram if I were the Kings. Obviously the Kings should try to get more if they can, I just don’t know if a team is willing to give up multiple blue-chip assets in order to see if Boogie will change his attitude in a different environment.

Boston is the best bet if they get the number 1 pick because of their team culture. But Isiah Thomas on the roster makes the move contentious from day one ….The Pelicans could be a interesting destination as well with AD showing improvement from the arc….. Kidd could be the Cousins whisper if Milwaukee can snare the number 1….Bledsoe could be a pacifying force in Phoenix, but Cousins needs more of a support structure than the Suns have to offer.

A lot of people still talk about  Cousins’ baggage. I have note heard anything about him for quite some time about him being a distraction, bad locker room guy or not gicing 100%. Am I missing stories or are people just wary of his history?

I can see the Knicks pulling a stupid, franchise killing move like offering the Kings their 2018, 2020 and 2022 first round picks unprotected. They seem to be really good at this stuff.

I would love to see Cousins and Porzingis play together, though. Something about that just seems really fun

Man, I have literally no idea why you got negged. It’s an interesting question, not a leading one (you didn’t say the deal wouldn’t be as part of a package or whatever) and yet you’re on -5. Crazy.

And as an aside, if you’re talking about this year’s draft, I agree. I’d want ingram or simmons over cousins as so much chance of a franchise talent without the crazy and without the lack of shot blocking.

He may only have two more seasons under contract.  Giving up a high pick, and the possible players too for salary purposes, for two angry seasons from Cousins is a big risk.

No way for pick 1 or 2.

Killing coaches’ careers, getting suspended, never getting to playoffs, technical fouls, I would send pick 10 for that.  Pick 9 or 7 too, and Kings have 8 already.

    Pick 6, probably.

The Kings supposedly told Cousins to get help for anger managemnt, and that made him angry.  So many games where he gets a foul or another call he doesn’t like and he doesn’t play due to anger.  Maybe I will keep pick 5, and everything else, and Sacramento can keep enjoying Cousins.

Would a team trade pick 1 for LeBron, that is interesting.  Age and games played, some teams might want him and others might want to keep the top pick.
