M-DYMESParticipantDo you think the NBA should redefine what is a foul, specifically a shooting foul. The way things fouls are built upon a referees interpretation. Thats not going to change. So I think they should redefine a shooting foul to be physical contact with a player which disrupts the shooting rhythm. This way a light tap should not be called but anything that would affect the flight of the basketball would be.

esperanzafleet69Participantdoesnt matter… players will flop anyways like they always do… for example if theres contact and the ball keeps going upward even if the players just let it go, it will be called a shooting foul…

llperezfouls are pretty much defined. If you touch a guy while he’s shooting and it has any effect on the shot, it’s a foul. Unless the defender is set and the offensive player is innitiating the contact, in which case it’s not a foul. But of course players sometimes flop and refs sometimes get it wrong, thats impossible to change.

UKWildcat_11ParticipantIt’s always made me mad when I see a defender running backwards and the offensive player runs into him and it’s a blocking foul. I mean what can the defender do if he’s running away?

the I in winParticipantI really hate when someone pump fakes and then leans into the defender. If they just come flying at i understand but Paul Pierce will literally get right under a player that jumped straight up and they call the foul. Plenty of other players do this but Pierce does it literally every game.

bobbybParticipantI hate when plays drive with a stiff arm like a running back, then curl their arm around the other players waist to gain an advantage( Lebron James) It is hard to notice because he does it so fast. It is easier to tell on a slow mo replay. Paul Pierce is also guilty

scoutguruParticipantI miss the 90’s brand of basketball. Especially my New York Knicks, which I grew up watching and am still a die hard fan of. Even though they make me wanna die at times…smh
