Of course, with these players the picks wouldn’t have been so high, but lets pretend:

With the 3rd pick of the 2006 draft, the Bobcats select Rudy Gay from UConn (Bobcats know Brandon Roy will be hurt, also nobody knew Rondo would be so good).

With the 8th pick of the 2007 draft, the Bobcats select Joakim Noah from UF.

With the 9th pick of the 2008 draft, the Bobcats select Brook Lopez from Stanford.

With the 10th pick of the 2009 draft, the Bobcats select Ty Lawson from UNC.

Bobcats trade the rights of Joakim Noah to the Pacers for the 10th overall pick of the draft, Paul George

With the 9th pick of the 2011 draft, the Bobcats select Klay Thompson from Washington St.

With the 2nd pick of the 2012 draft, the Bobcats select Andre Drummond from UConn.

With the 4th pick of the 2013 draft, the Bobcats select MCW from Syracuse

    Line-Up:

    PG: Lawson

    SG: Thompson

    SF: George

    PF: Lopez

    C: Drummond

     MCW off of bench.

What if the Bobcats could see into the future? They would be pretty good obviously. The owner would probably have hit the mega millions and powerball an awful lot of times as well.

the draft that really set them back more than any was 2008 when they took d.j over lopez when they clearly needed a center and somehow drafted alexis ajinca over serge ibaka.hell, even if they missed ibaka, they still passed on peckovic, omer asik, deandre jordan

i just really cant understand how anybody could think ajinca would be better than some of those guys left on the board

If they had got Rudy, Brook and Ty they wouldnt of been bad enough to have the 2 and 4 picks recently.

If you had those guys they probably wouldn’t be picking in the lottery year after year so it makes no sense to do this. They would have won more games and had different positions on the draft boards.

Why didn’t the Bobcats just sign every all-star free agent in the last ten years at the vet minimum? They really dropped the ball there…

    1. They wouldn’t get high picks if their team was good.

    2. You could do this with basically any team.

Bobcats have been mediocre at drafting but you can say that about many teams.

However I don’t see any superstar players there except Paul George.

Brook Lopez, Noah are solid players but missing out on Lillard last year will cost them dearly in the future.
