French FlairParticipantWe all know that the Magic won’t make the same mistake the Cavs made with Lebron last year, if they are not sure to keep D.Howard, would they make this trade (along with 2 1st round picks from LA & Toronto) ?
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=3s7cz9d
New lineups :
Magic :
J.Nelson/J.Calderon
J.Redick/Q.Richardson
H.Turkoglu/L.Kleiza
A.Bargnani/B.Bass
A.Bynum/R.Anderson
Lakers :
D.Fisher/S.Blake
K.Bryant/S.Brown
R.Artest/D.Ebanks/M.Barnes
P.Gasol/A.Johnson
D.Howard/D.Caracter
Raptors :
J.Bayless/G.Arenas
D.DeRozan/L.Barbosa
J.Johnson/S.Weems (I think they should resign him or get more value by FA, Jeff Green ?)
L.Odom/E.Davis
E.Kanter (or J.Valanciunas)/D.Orton

AllDayyyParticipantWhy would Toronto ever do this?

French FlairParticipantJust to leave Bargnani’s bad contract and rebuild around prospects (Bayless – DeRozan – Johnson – Davis – Kanter or Valanciunas)

AllDayyyParticipantHis contract isn’t bad at all. But even if it was your solution to a "bad contract" is to take on Hibachi’s contract, arguably the worst contract in the L right now, plus Khloe’s contract. A young team lead by Gil and LO is a recipe for success!

CalipariParticipantOf course the Magic do this! The Lakers make out like bandits also. But why the hell would Toronto touch this deal with a ten foot pole? They get absolutely robbed. Odom will block Davis’ development, isn’t quite the leader/mentor type, and Arenas has one of the worst contracts in professional sports.
Here is a more reasonable Howard scenario:
Lakers send: Bynum, Ebanks, Brown, and 2 1st round picks.
Orlando sends: Howard
This is reasonable right? Orlando gets young pieces along with a young center who very well could become dominant, and the Lakers get a megastar to lead the post-Kobe era. Yes, Bynum’s injury issues could scare them away, but I think this still remains a possible scenario for a Dwight Deal.
