KevinDurantRocksParticipantWhat do you guys expect out of Hasheem? I personally don’t like this guy but lets say in 3-4 years what would be good averages that would say he is WORTH THE 2-4th pick? would it be 10pts 10reb 2-3block shots?

king_til_i_die23ParticipantI think he would need to have atleast 15pts, 10 rebs, and 4blks per game

butidonthavemoneyIs 10, 10 and 2-3 worth the second pick? I’ve never thought about it.

birdman113he has a long way to go before he can score double figures in the nba. he doesnt have much of an offensive game and i dont think it will ever be fully developed. still a decent player 7-8 pts 8-9 reb 1.5-2.5 blks.

king_til_i_die23Participantwe are looking at him 4 years from now, not his rookie season

piratejpParticipantI’m not sure scoring is ever going to be his thing, although I could be wrong, but he could still contribute 10ish points per game just on putbacks, dunks, etc.
I could see him adding a little bulk though & improving the rebound numbers. That would also help him with being able to get into position for blocks. So if he ended up being a 10 pt, 12 rebound, 3 blocks per game player in a few years – is that worth the 2nd pick? Probably, especially in this draft. Even more so if he fills a clear need for the team getting him.

JordanC20ParticipantI doubt he will ever score in double digits but he will with no doubt be a big time shot blocker…I think he is more of a Manute Bol type player than Mutombo.

TH38L4CKM4M84I think thats about what he’ll be averaging in 4 years. Remember he hasnt been playing basketball for very long now so hes still got room to grow for his post skills but i dont think he ever averages much more than 12. Hell need to play smarter defensively to stay out of foul trouble and on the court.
I think he can be worth a top 3 pick if the team that drafts him has a go to scorer on the block because he can be a game changer defensively.0 - Posted on: Sat, 06/20/2009 - 5:13pm #169388

tjc23Participanthe will average 14 points 12 rebounds and 4.5 blocks by his third year

RemarqParticipantAs to whether he is worth the second pick, yes I think he is. Everyone knows that he isnt going to score 30 pts to win a series, but what he can do is grab 15 rbs, block 3 shots and change 7. Anyone who cant take 15-20pts off the board for your opponent is worth taking with the #2 pick, esp in a weak draft. Defense wins championships.

fastdanParticipantStats don’t dictate how good player is. ESPECIALLY someone who’s considered a defensive center. You cannot put a stat on how important these kind of guys are to a team.

grizz_fan7ParticipantI think he will average about 6-8ppg 7-9boards 2blocks

OKCfanParticipantThey say he will be like Dikembe Mutombo WoW that is a lot of upside MPG 30| PPG 9.8 | Reb 10 | BLK 2.7 Avg over 17 years Top 5 Pick No way big bust waiting to happen

ashleyriot19Participanti expect the nick “thabust” to be real, defensive 7 footers (7-2 1/2 in this case) that can’t score do not work well in the nba as top prospects because they need time to develop and being chosen that high doesn’t come with patience, that’s a reality. The scouts aren’t saying he is going to be dikembe mutombo, they say that’s his ceiling, big difference there. i predict 5 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks in his rookie season if he ends up in oklahoma who doesn’t have any quality pure center whatsoever and would warranty him minutes, if he ends up in memphis competing with marc gasol and in a lesser extent milicic (that contract is so bad i can’t see them trading it) he will have a hell season.

meisi4Participant10,10, and 2-3 would be good but i don´t think he even will get to these numbers anything higher would be great for him but i have big questionmarks behin him…
if he is worth the pick? only time can tell but if you look at this draft it´s possible he will come out being worth at least top5.. in any of the last years of course not!!!
