pistonsmanParticipantI think he will get drafted he can be a good sixth man for any team in about 2-3 seasons in the NBA. I think he can be like a Antonio Mcdyess a couple of All Star games and a good career not a huge superstar just a good role player (sixth man). Averages for career 14-15 points, 7-8 rebounds, 1-1.5 blocks a game.

Knicksboy34ParticipantDid you just compare John Bryant to Antonio McDyess? YOU ARE CRAZY!!!!!!
I cant believe you just said that……You should not post anymore

j1232eParticipantAllstar games, the dude as a slim to none chance of even playing in the nba.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/17/2009 - 7:31am #166360

pistonsmanParticipantHe will be like Dyess.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/17/2009 - 7:33am #166362

Knicksboy34ParticipantJohn Bryant will never be a all-star. He is a long shot to get Drafted. I think he will get a chance as a Undrafted Free Agent but All-star? 14-15 ppg? 7-8 rpg? That will never happen.
You compare a man who may not get drafted to a top 10 overall pick who had a good 3-5 year career before getting injured?
You do not know basketball…honestly..How many John Bryant games have you seen? 1? 2?
0- Posted on: Wed, 06/17/2009 - 7:36am #166364

pistonsmanParticipantFOR YOUR INFO I HAVE SEEN OVER 30 JOHN BRYANT GAMES.

j1232eParticipantbefore he got hurt mulitple times, could jump out of the gym. Bryant can’t jump over a quarter.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/17/2009 - 7:40am #166366

Knicksboy34Participantgood for you…but you wasted your time. He will not be a NBA All-star.
He is A worst version of Greg Ostertag…..
I doubt he will ever be McDyess.
A 7-0 Center with Post moves in a conference with 1 team with legit NBA prospects
A 6-9 Power Forward, had a nice jumper in a conference with at least 4-6 teams with NBA talent during the 90’s?
No way he will ever be a ALL-STAR…I WOULD BE SHOCK IF HE IS DRAFTED.

j1232eParticipantwe would like to welcome back the famous btown.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/17/2009 - 7:41am #166369

tjc23Participantmcdyess is more athletic and has a way better jump shot then john bryant. John bryant needs to lose some weight before he can be as athletic as mcdyess. John bryant will not be drafted

pistonsmanParticipantU WATCH IF JOHN BRANT GETS DRAFTED HE WILL AVERAGE WHAT I SAID AND HE WILL MAKE AT LEAST ONE ALL STAR APPEARANCE
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/17/2009 - 7:42am #166371

Knicksboy34ParticipantHe’s not B-Town, Pistonsman was the original guy who brought up John Bryant
0- Posted on: Wed, 06/17/2009 - 7:45am #166378

pistonsmanParticipantYeah i was cuz i know he will be good.

- Posted on: Wed, 06/17/2009 - 7:43am #166372

birdman1113Participanthe won even be able to get his shot off in the nba. hell get bullied on the defensive end of the floor and will probably play in the d-league.

Knicksboy34ParticipantU WATCH IF JOHN BRANT GETS DRAFTED HE WILL AVERAGE WHAT I SAID AND HE WILL MAKE AT LEAST ONE ALL STAR APPEARANCE
No he will not…Im predicting 40 games and 8 different NBDL teams for John Bryant in his career
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/17/2009 - 7:44am #166375

JNixonParticipantHe isnt going to be drafted. I havent ever seen him play, ever
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/17/2009 - 7:46am #166379

Knicksboy34ParticipantYour a shame…This man will not be a good player…you should be banned.
John Bryant is Todd Mucolluch version -5.0
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/17/2009 - 7:49am #166382
daballaParticipantMcDyess had unbelievable hops with a chiseled 6-9 245 frame. He was like the Amare Stoudemire before Amare Stoudemire. Even after his knee injuries he still is 10 times more athletic than John Bryant. John Bryant is a big man with average size and is overweight with below average speed, athletic ability, and has no special skill that can translate to the NBA.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/17/2009 - 7:50am #166383
j1232eParticipantis a poor mans Gary Wilkinson from utah state. Wilkinson has a beter chance of an nba career than big old john.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/17/2009 - 7:54am #166388

Knicksboy34ParticipantJohn Bryant cant even hold Jon Brockman….
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/17/2009 - 7:56am #166392

birdman1113ParticipantBryant is Milicic when he was with the Pistons. hell be the victory cigar for the Kings, which will mean hell only play about ten games next year.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/17/2009 - 7:58am #166393

Knicksboy34ParticipantI see some rings in his future…NBDL rings
He will be a 5ppg-5rpg guy in the NBDL….
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/17/2009 - 7:58am #166394

apb540ParticipantWhy would anyone ever start a thread on a guy who is a longshot to even be drafted?? Wasting space on the website?
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/17/2009 - 8:10am #166403

Knicksboy34ParticipantAsk Pistonman/B-town
there has been at least 7 John Bryant threads…
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/17/2009 - 8:11am #166405

apb540ParticipantIs he even on this site anymore?
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/17/2009 - 8:22am #166414

NYKnicksuperFanParticipantdo you just pull random names out of the air
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/17/2009 - 8:57am #166438

torontoraptors10ParticipantWho cares about John Bryant? Why are people starting threads about him? He IS NOT going to get drafted. If he does, he is going to be waived in 24 hours because he isn’t good. He is probably going to go to Turkey and play ball there…. well he’ll be lucky playing there. Remember Eric Pittsnogle? I think that is his name…. he is teaching at an elementary school now and thats what is going to happen to John Bryant.
Stop will these irrelevant threads because John Bryant is NOT going to get drafted!
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/17/2009 - 9:02am #166447
j1232eParticipantbryant is not even allowed around chilren. Due to he is a register sex affender.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/17/2009 - 9:02am #166448
ckowalskiParticipantIt was Kevin Pittsnogle but yea good comparison
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/17/2009 - 9:05am #166452
tli232Guys, we had this thread about 14 year olds on this site. I think this is another such occurrence. I’m pretty sure John Bryant: aka Flabulous, aka more-fat-than-muscle is actually Pistonsman’s big Brother or something. Why in the world any sane person actually think he’s going to be good? Maybe Big Brother John owned Pistonsman so much as a child on concrete courts that he must be LeBron-like.
0- Posted on: Wed, 06/17/2009 - 10:21am #166555

pistonsmanParticipantYeah fuuny real fuuny Concrete Lebron like LOL U don’t know what u talkin about.

The MantisParticipantBut, comparing him to McDyess is crazy…even the post-injury McDyess. Greg Ostertag is a very good comparison. But people forget that Ostertag actually started several years for the Jazz. Career averages 4.6 pts. 5.5 reb. and 1.7 blks in 19.5 min/game. Fairly typical numbers for your average backup center. He also played 11 years in the NBA.
I’d spend a 2nd round pick on a backup center who could put up those numbers over 10 plus seasons. People forget Bryant was 2nd in the nation in rebounding behind Blake Griffin. Also averaged 18 pts. and 2.5 blks. Yeah, it wasn’t against the Big East or ACC, but he played in a conference that could be considered average at worst. Yeah, he’s fat. Yeah, he’s slow. Yeah, he’ll never be mistaken for a real athlete. But, if he can grab you 3 quick boards, get a bucket and block a shot, that’s all he’ll be asked to do. And if he does that, he could play in the league for a while.
Bottom line, you gotta admit that he’s probably no worse (maybe even a little better) than some of the big stiffs collecting paychecks in the NBA these days.
But c’mon….All-Star? He won’t even start if he makes the league. Last time I checked, guys who play 8-10 min. a game don’t make the all-star team. And that’s about what I expect of Bryant.
