IknoBall12ParticipantWe all know his story. super hyped high school athlete, good college player with some controversy, Top 5 draft pick. But whats going on with this guy now? Hed been benched for the steroid use and been regulated to a 6th man role. bu tnow its like his game has left and he hardly even reaches double digit scoring anymore. i know memphis tried to trade him to indy at the trade deadline but they didnt get the deal off in time. Personally ive always though ojs position in the NBA is at the point. I feel like having him at the 2 was only good for the grizz becuz they drafted conley a year earlier but its obvious oj isnt a 2 and cannot guard the bigger 2 guards in the L. Do yall think OJ will be back with the Grizz after this summer? And what does his future hold for him….will he ever establish himself among the great 2 guards in the league?

Lotto StudParticipantChange of scenery will do him well

ilike.panochasParticipantChange of scenery will do him good, but I also feel his upside is a bit overrated. He is a player that will beat you with skills and craftiness, because he does not posses great athleticism, not a very explosive 1st step, and average height for a SG. He is a player with little holes in his game but at the sametime I feel he has maxed out his physical potential. He would serve well as a 2nd or 3rd option.

Charlie SheenParticipantWhen Josh McRoberts and 1st Round are equal to your value then you gotta look in the mirror and get your shit together

RUDEBOY_ParticipantI agree with the statement about how low his trade value has decreased..
OJ isnt a point guard,he has the talent to play there for a few minutes a game. But not the entire game..Memphis tried that last summer and it didnt workout…
He can be a 20 point scorer in the league..And Memphis should hold on to him until Henry is ready…He’s played well since Rudy has been out..

ProudGrandpaParticipantMaybe so, but as a Pacers fan, I was quite relieved when the proposed trade in which the Pacers got Mayo, a second-tier star with a checkered pass and Memphis got a promising Josh McRoberts and draft pick, did not go through. Do any of you reall want YOUR team gettingMayo?

Charlie SheenParticipantIf New York could get him I’d take him in a heart beat as the 3rd option behind STAT N Melo. Toney Douglas and Landry Fields should be enough for Mayo

TRC1991Participantwhy not just keep him as a solid 6th man, the reason the grizz are playing so hot right now is cuz their bench is looking solid

NYK2010ParticipantHow about this
3 team trade with Memphis, Minnesota and L.A. Clippers.
Minnesota send Rubio to the Clippers, a future protected 1st to the Grizzlies and Wesley Johnson
Clippers send Bledsoe and a future 1st to Twolves
Grizzlies send Mayo to the Twolves

sheltwon3ParticipantMayo is a solid player that wound up in a bad situation once Rudy Gay was resigned. Also he is just the odd man out. He can still do what he did his first 2 years.

SwatLakeCityParticipantThe Jazz should try and get Mayo. They have needed a 2 guard it seems since the beginning of time. This is the one year they can fill the need with drafting Alec Burks but it seems that he will stay because he is close friends with his teammates and he has already signed up for summer classes. He is still unsure but I feel he will decide to stay, meaning there will be no SG for Utah to grab even in the lottery. They need to select their PG in 2012 when you will have Kabongo and Marshall to chose from who I know are better than Knight. They could trade Knight (their 2 lottery pick) and their 2012 draft pick (teens to early twenties) to the Grizz for Mayo. He wouldn’t have to be the #1 option either. He would play second fiddle to Al Jefferson, a role which I think suits him very well. But, yes I do feel a change of scenery would do good for him just like it did wonders for B-Easy.

Lotto StudParticipantJazz have an up & coming star in C.J. Miles to play the 2 that would stunt his growth as a player.

mbunner23ParticipantNow, I may be a tad bit biased but I’m going to run with this anyway. I think OJ ‘s best position would be at the point. Memphis did try to run him at point during the summer league and it was not successful but he only played 2 games at the point during summer. Not to mention he hadn’t played point before that in 2 years or more, so of course it would have taken awhile to get adjusted, especially from going to PG in high school to the NBA. I don’t think that he will be with Memphis very much longer. I would like to see him go to a place like Indiana where he could start fresh, I think the sky would be the limit for him. A couple problems with Memphis is him and Rudy Gay can’t play together. Earlier in the year when Rudy first got injured, OJ stepped in and had 29/5/5 game against the Spurs I believe. He definately needs the ball in his hands to be successful. I can see him putting up numbers similiar to Eric Gordon with more assists if in the right situation.

OhCanada-ParticipantWell I defenitely think that he killed her, I mean their was blood everywhere, on his clothes, in his bronco, and he even left shoeprints. He probally shouldve been found guilty. Simpson was a great Running Back but that doesnt mean he should get special treatment. Then again its never nice to see someone go to jail for life, but if you cant do the time, dont do the crime.

SwatLakeCityParticipant@memphis tyga, The Jazz have tried using CJ Miles this year and he has been inconsistent much more then I thought he would be. He’s been in the league for 5 years and he still hasn’t proved he can be a consistent starter. He should have went to Texas like he had originally planned and came out his Junior or Senior season there. I’d rather have an inconsistent bench player than an inconsistent starter. Take it from a Jazz fan who has watched every one of his games this year who was expecting this year to be his breakout year. (So much for a break out year) CJ belongs on the bench as a 6th or 7th man.

lephovaParticipantMayo just in a bad situation .. He need a change of scenery .. But a player of his caliber is taking his “6th man” role like a pro … He did avg 20pg his rookie year .. He need to get his confidence back.. Be aggressive and get his “Dwade” on at 6’4-6’5

TeamShowtimeLakersParticipanti think a change of scenery would be nice but i see him in memphis next year getting his starting spot back..and i do think can be easily a 20 point scorer…and with a good chance of being a great 2guard.

4th dimensionHe’s turned himself into a shooter instead of a pure-scorer which he was in high school up to his rookie year. He needs to attack more and get to the free throw, he has become almost like a spot up shooter and he’s capable of being more than just that. He should watch how Marcus Thornton play, because to me they both have similar skills and physical ability.
