llperezI think they can pretty good next year and make the playoffs. They were hit hard by injuries last year. I think they will just take the best available. I doubt they get pg that will be much better then Jack or Diener, but that’s probably their biggest need.

birdman113i have them taking Blair. its not worth taking a risk on Mullens. and they they could really use Blairs toughness. and if they take a point guard he woudnt even get much playing time because hed probably be beaten out by Jack, and Ford.

piratejpParticipantThey are one of the teams I could see trying to move up to grab Thabeet, or possibly Hill.
If not, I could see them trying to move back – only because the likely top players on the board aren’t really good fits for the Pacers.
If they stand pat, I think it likely they go after a SG rather than a big – just don’t see either Blair or Hansborough as good fits for what they’re trying to do. They’d love to see DeRozan still on the board I’d imagine – probably still not likely, but he’s slipped a little I think, so possible. T. Williams might be another guy they look at. They’d have to be confident either guy could play the 2 alongside Granger before taking him though.
They’re one of the trickier teams to figure out, I agree.

DanJParticipantI believe they will make Jarrett Jack a qualifying offer and that he will be back. They have T. J. Ford and Travis Diener coming back.
Things aren’t looking good for Dunleavy’s health. Danny Granger had a great year; Troy Murphy’s was even better. At center, Foster and Hibbert are back; Nesterovic is gone. Word has it that Josh McRoberts has bulked up and looks great. They have no 2’s. Brandon Rush played primarily 3 last year. With a healthy Granger he will loose minutes there. Marquis Daniels will be gone. His team options is for over 7 million. No way Indiana pays that.Bottom line they need to either pick the best player available or get some minutes for the 2 or 5. B. J. Mullens will not be able to provide anything next season. Larry Bird is not a patient guy. There really aren’t going to be any pure shooters when they pick. I think they take the best player available regardless of position.
