     Who do you got today?

Serious question will be brought up in the media if the spurs take this one.

Spurs just abused the small ball lineup of GSW via offensive rebounds. Which funny enough is not of nature to the Spurs as they encourage getting back on defense.

GSW couldnt rebound over San’s bigs

Kinda happens when Bogut and Ezeli are out and having to rely on Varejao, Speights, and undersized forwards. Both teams played great defense, pace was kept slow, Curry had an off night. No Bogut meant you attack inside with Diaw and Aldridge.

This game also maybe confirms that Spurs do not need Duncan to beat the Warriors unless Popovich is stashing him until the playoffs. It will be interesting to watch the matchups again when Iggy and Bogut are also playing.

I hope we get this series at full strength. That game was great last night. Iggy should help some and if the warriors are able to have at lest one of bogut or ezeli they will be different. If tony parker, mills and green can play defense that hard on curry and thompson the warriors could be in trouble. The spurs actually match up well with the warriors. They put kawhi on draymond, which worked pretty solid. Iggy could disrupt that though by running the offense and having to have a big man guard him. Then throw in the Pop versus Kerr coaching match up. This should be a great series if it does happen.

I’ll take the Spurs. Khawhi and LaMarcus  will produce every night. Green, TP, Duncan, Diaw, Mills and Manu are professional enough to do more than enough to chip in as role players. I wouldn’t count on Klay and Steph being as off as they were tonight but I can guarantee the Spurs play the exact same defense.

I was having a debate the other day about stopping Steph. The Spurs did exactly what I said. Pressure Steph. Do not leave him. Never help off him. Go over or switch the picks. Chase or switch the screens. Force him to drive, everybody else be ready to help and contest at the rim. It’s not simple to stop him, but it’s pretty simple to do those things. It’s about driving the point home that Steph is the best shooter ever and we will not let him get any space.

I’ve seen Steph have off nights, but this my first time seeing great defense being played against him. Thanks Spurs.
