markfitz14ParticipantIf I were him I would refuse to sign an extension with any team. Enter Free agency in 2017. Give the chance to join a team that can beat GS and get the ultimate revenge.
Only team right now I could see it happening with is the Cavs. Lebron should still be at the top of his game in 2018. Even this team might not be good enough.
Westbrook, Irving, Lebron, Love, Thompson
But if not the Cavs gotta do whatever it takes to stick it to Durant for jumping ship like that to join the team that just beat us. Try to get some other top players to join forces on some team with a ton of cap.

PurpleMonkeyDishwasherParticipantDurant and Westbrook obviously have spoken at length regarding their futures. They are both what amount to corporations and it would be foolish to think that Durants decision wasn’t in part because he already knew what Westbrooks plans are.

markfitz14ParticipantTrue I am sure Westbrook the "fashion king" Would like to play in LA or NY. And told Durant that he was thinking that.

Taylor Gang MikeParticipantYeah Westbrook has to be traded by Presti. I think for Ingram, Russell an Nance would be the best deal. But he is going to NYC or LA next summer. Presti cant wait

markfitz14Participantthat is a good deal for both. Nice rookie and Westbrook gets to go where he wants to. LA would surely attract FA in 2017 with Westbrook on the team.

markfitz14ParticipantAinge might be on the phone. Hey OKC Smart, Dunn and 2017 and 2018 Nets Pick, for Westbrook. That is a great starting point for a rebuild.
Might not be worth it tough. It would be hard to convince Westbrook to stay on that team. Would have to sign Griffin in 2017 or someone equal to get him to stay. Yup gotta go to LA

llperezfair deal, but if westbrook really wants to be a laker, he could just let the lakers know not to make a trade and give up quality assests and he will come over in 12 months when he is an unresticted free agent and he will get to play with those guys increasing his chances of winning. Basically no sense in making the team you are joining give up talent if you can just go there shortly.

XYRYXParticipantEven with Westbrook refusing to sign an extension now I don’t see Presti trading him at all now, don’t think it’s the culture of the franchise to reset the whole thing when things get difficult. Not saying this won’t happen but would really surprise me unless clearly says I’m gone next summer.

morestealsthanscoresParticipantWestbrook and lebron would be a horrible fit. Id love to see westbrook with a crazy athletic big man who could form the ultimate pick and roll combo.
The perfect, perfect, ‘I’d love it to happen but it won’t’ move?
Westbrook to…the Clippers.
Think about it. Pretty much the only slight on Russ is the fact he’s not a ‘pure’ point guard…so why not replicate his success with Team USA and team him up with the best pure point gaurd in the game? Russ-Jordan or Russ-Griffin pick and rolls would be crazy. Add a 3&D small forward (With less minutes to go around in Golden State, would a 33 year old Andre Iguadola take a pay cut for a long term contract?) and that team is his very, very best hope at a ring.
Paul/Westbrook/Iguadola/Griffin/Jordan vs Curry/Thompson/Durant/Green/Jones…I feel like a WWE booker
…and if anyone is planning on commenting ‘it will never happen’…KEVIN DURANT JUST SIGNED WITH THE FRIGGIN’ WARRIORS.
