valentineWhat exactly makes Curry a better overall player than Curry? oh right, nothing he is not.. I wish I could see Westbrook be the clear number one option for his team like Curry and play on a super stacked team like GSW… We will see tomorow night what he’s made of against Curry. I know he will be 100% up to the challenge to defend Curry while Curry is probably going to be hidden on defense,.. Let’s be real, he doesn’t want no part of Westbrook..

he_gets_bucketsParticipant"play on a super stacked team like GSW" I mean I know OKC isn’t STACKED, but he’s playing alongside one of top 3 guys in the league in Durant, and Ibaka and co arent exactly scrubs..

JudgeMeNotParticipanti sense much dark and negative feelings from you, this can cloud judgement and only lead to be a narrowminded fool. You are lost, lost in a dark forest for which you can not see beyond, because you only look one way.

DukeDaSquadParticipantYou’re just a Lebron fan that hates Curry. Curry is the best player in the NBA and a match up against Westbrook isn’t going to change that.

JDB12ParticipantEither way, whether Westbrook or Curry goes off for 50 and the other has 10 they’ll still be considered the best two point guards in the league by a decent margin. And Curry will still be considered the best point guard and player in the league based off of his reigning MVP status, and how well he’s played this season. Not to take anything away from how well Westbrook has played the last year and a half as well, but one game isn’t going to decide who is the better point guard. And we did get to see Westbrook play as the supreme alpha male for the majority of last season when Durant was injured and he showed out! So we know he’ll still be a great player putting up great numbers without another superstar. And saying Curry doesn’t want any part of Westbrook is silly. Superstars love playing against superstars because of their supreme competitive nature. Did you not just see the Warriors/Wizards game where Wall put in 41 and Curry had 51? That’s the stuff stars thrive for! I wouldn’t be surprised to see Westbrook and Curry have a similar battle.

JudgeMeNotParticipantNot a riddle, a riddle is game intending to trick you, that is not my intent. Your resentment towards Mr. Curry is glaring, likely due to his newfound popularity and praise. Westbrook is a beautiful player as well, if to trade places, the Warriors would still likely be the best (no accounting for chemistry and trust) but Curry is leading the best team and playing better basketball and you can’t deny the masterpeice he has created and continue to build. You’ve outed yourself as angry and has blinded you, we just wish to remove the blinds that is your anger so you can see the basketball world for what it truly is, and it is truly beautiful. I see the genius in you, but negative ideals will hold you back from realizing your own genius.

bigmandinkyParticipantThey’re both amazing players and deserve all the praise that they get. It should be no surprise that Curry is getting more attention since he is playing on a team that is winning at a historical pace and is the only top 5 player on his team.
If Westbrook eventually ends up on a team built solely around him then people’s perception might start to change, but until then let’s enjoy the duo that is Westbrook and Durant.
All I know is I can’t wait to see these two face off. Pound for Pound (skill wise), there might not be two other players in the league that can do as much as either of these two and they both play with so much passion.

markfitz14ParticipantWestbrook is an absolute machine. He never stops going. He is close to Curry. Why Durant would leave him to play elsewhere is beyond me. But to the point. What makes Curry better overall. His FG% is .511 so far this season. That is typically reserved for PF/C who get a lot of easy dunks not a PG/SG who mostly shoots jumpers. He is also hitting an astounding 5 treys a game at .459%. Westbrooks FG% is .459% right now. So yeah his constant threat makes him the better.

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantCoincidently I don’t think this argument is much different than Kareem’s criticism of Dirk Nowitzki. On a sidenote Greekballin, do you agree with Kareem?
Curry is the better scorer, while Westbrook is a terrific scorer in how own right but is a better rebounder, defender (even though Curry gets more steals) and gets more assists.
I can see the argument that Westbrook has the better all around game and lets be honest his numbers over the last two years (when taking into account MPG) are the closest anyone has ever come matching the Big O.
However Curry is such a dominant scorer, and can score in so many ways, with incredible efficiency. He’s also no slouch as a passer, and gets alot of steals as well. Ultimately scoring points is the ultimate measuring stick in sports and Curry does it more than anyone both in terms of volume and efficiency.
