Meditated StatesParticipantHe really should not even be out there. He is legit I had no doubts about that. He needs top notch competition or else he will eat inferior comp for breakfast like he been doing.

sheltwon3ParticipantI think he was out there to help Harden get used to playing with him and also he needs to work on his playmaking. I do not say this to hate. I love that the thunder are doing and I am a fan of Westbrook. Those are just observations.

Meditated StatesParticipantNot as good at creating yet but he plays well all around with superior athleticsm. Triple D waiting to happen like Rondo everynight.

JNixonParticipantHe is like Rondo, with less playmaking ability as a passer.

BasketballGuru24ParticipantI Think Comparing Jrue Holiday to Him Is Disrespect, and this guy is way better than everybody thought…..he does have room to improve and is a new breed of point guard

xbadgerhustlerParticipantHe’s basically the poster child of what Ben Howland tries to do… Get guys with long arms and good athleticism who are COMMITTED to defense. Russell Westbrook might end up being scarily good- better than Rose, better than Paul, like best PG in the game.
The sky is really the limit with this guy… he might not even be done growing. More importantly, what if his arms get longer! Just the improvement he’s made from his freshman yr to now is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. I don’t see any reason he won’t have a reliable jumper within 2-3 years and be unstoppable. offensively and defensively.
By far my favorite player, so I am extremely biased.

R-Dot-13Participantcall me crazy everyone, but in my opinion, he will be the best player from his class, better than rose.
i know a lot of people will disagree, but a sure top 5 pg in a couple years, maybe even top 2 behind CP3.
but thats just my opinionTop 5 pg in 2-5 years
1. CP3
2. Rondo
3. Westbrook
4. Rose
5. Harris/WIlliams0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/08/2009 - 3:49pm #178738

R-Dot-13Participantthat is without this years and next years draft classes.

xbadgerhustlerParticipant1. Westbrook
2. CP3
3. Rose
4. Rondo
5. D. WilliamsI think Westbrook’s ability to get to the rim/FT line and his ability to LOCK DOWN will vault him ahead of CP3… if he ever develops a consistent jumper, which I’m confident will happen.
CP3 is on a different level than anyone on that list right now, but I think he’s kind of reached his ceiling because he’s the craftiest guy on that list, not the most athletic/youngest. I think Russell has the highest ceiling because of his size and his ability to potentially be a lockdown PG or SG

jerb2011ParticipantWestbrook has gotten much beter on his play-making abilities, but can improve, but we have to remember, last year was his only year as a true PG, he played the 2 in UCLA, but I think he will be the best PG in the NBA in 2-5 years.

knicksfreakParticipantHe is the only legit NBA starting point playing in the summer league. Nate Robinson absolutely dominated the summer league for 2 years running. That doesnt make him an all-star. I cant give Westbrook credit for playing well against guys that are struggling to make a roster.

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantI was so mad when they got Westbrook in the draft instead of bayless.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/08/2009 - 5:38pm #178858

knicksfreakParticipantThe only reason anybody gave him a second look last year was because the Knicks let on that they were in love with him. He should be running point in NY right now.

JNixonParticipantWestbrook will never be better than Rose,Paul,or Rondo. EVER. At any point of his career.
