he has been doing pretty well in the pre-season and looks like a lock to make the jazz final roster. now all i know they have brewer and cj miles, kyle korver. but do you think he can maybe crack in the rotation late in the season.

It’ll be tough to crack the rotation late in the season when you consider Brewer, Miles and Korver all play huge roles. You never know though… Someone could could get injured like Miles is now. I think Mathews will be in the rotation until Miles returns.

Naw, I don’t see him getting any real minutes, he’s not really that good at anything except he plays good D and has good strength.

he looked good in preseason again it’s not the real show but, he was slashing hitting 3’s he is tough strong guard average athleticism good defender. Not a star but a decent role player down the line.
the games I seen he was playing good in parts of the game they needed someone to step up.
he was on the court with the starters alot.
I think he will get minutes but not bigs mins to many established wings there if he produces like he did in preseason then his mins will grow. He is nba player iggy is a tough man to impress. he can slash and shoot. he reminds me of Azibuke of the warriors. it means sloan really impressed if he made this team as a free agent roookie. and that man knows talent.

will make the roster and get around 15-20 min. per game for the first have of the season. Cj miles is out until mid december and yesterday korver went under the knife to have bone spurs removed. if korvers injury is as simple as removing bone spurs, he will be out 4-6 weeks. Bone spurs are usually a symptum of a different kind of injury,could actually be season ending. hopefully for the jazz and korver sake it is only bone spur. The jazz only have one true small forward being AK . millsap and brewer will get minuts in that position also. I think Mathews will be the starting small forward opening night so the jazz can bring AK in as the sixth man again this season.

I saw him play in person and he can hit the open jumper and looks quite athletic. a good pick up for the jazz

I remember watching his dad play ..POPPA MATTHEWS was a gangsta…He had several altercations with many nba players..When he played with the Lakers Xavier Mcdaniel had him in a choke hold..and while he was with the Hawks ..POPPA Matthews confronted Ainge..He got right into Ainge’s face and gave him the craziest STARE i’ve ever seen…He even took on Referees …POPPA MATTHEWS WAS WILD!!! ….hahahaha…WESLEY Jr.. is taller than his ol man…but not as aggressive…
