It seems that while I was on my sabbatical, this site has learned about Wesley Johnson. Thanks Aran. I’ve been saying for three months that he’s the best college basketball player the nation hasn’t really seem much of yet.

According to this Website, he should be the nation’s top transfer!!! Of course, I’ve been saying that. Word up in Syracuse was that he was the best player on the team last year (he practiced but couldn’t play).

I can’t help but think how Syracuse would be had Eric Devendor, Paul Harris, Jonny Flynn, stayed in school.

Combined with Johnson and starters Rautins, Jackson and Orankue, this team would have been preseason number 1 and probably would have won the national championship.

Johnson will be a lottery pick in next year’s NBA draft.

Do you see him as more a 2 or more of a 3? and is he a good defender… how do you think he compares relative to Evan Turner?

Once again you overhype a Syracuse player….what a shock. Wesley better have improved since his days at Iowa St. is all I know if he is going to be a lottery pick in 2010. I watched him play a lot at Iowa St. & he was good but nothing special. I did see potential….I am looking forward to seeing how much better he has gotten.

Hahahah no way Syracuse would’ve beaten North Carolina even if they did have Wesley. Cmon DHamp surely you aren’t that biased.

I didn’t overhype anyone. This website has him as THE top transfer in college basketball. So when you watched him at Iowa State, was he really average or is this site wrong. I’ve been hearing lottery from my scouts for months.

And to answer your question xbadgerhustler, he’s a wing player. Wait and see. Also, we’ve acknowledged I was wrong about Devendorf. One of the 2 times I’ve been wrong on this site. The other being the Nuggets beating the Lakers. It would’ve happened but they couldn’t inbound the ball. Now, do you care to list all of the things I’ve been right about?

and if you cant even project out his nba position, do you really know enough about the guy to make lottery-claims about him?

Yep, I can. But let’s get back to you and the haters on this site. I don’t see anyone claiming you know much about basketball. But when someone does it to me, you gotta hate! lol!

He is a SF. I’m not sure where Syracuse plans of playing him. DHamp…he looked better than average but I don’t think he is a lottery pick unless he has improved A LOT since Iowa St. It will be interesting to see what he does this year. I’m not hating. I can’t think of all the transfers this season so I don’t know if he is the top one or not. I can think of a few big transfers in Macklin & Lucas….I would say Wesley is better than both of them. Martin for Notre Dame is going to be good too.

The only time i’ve ever ‘hated’ on you is when you say something completely baseless, but I ‘hate’ on other people for the same reasons I ‘hate’ on you… u just tend to make more baseless and ridiculous comments.

and who has claimed that you know much about basketball, besides yourself? lol, that just supports my claim that you are conceited, and self- absorbed…

I agree with Gatorheels, because he wasnt anything that great at Iowa State, he was a borderline NBA prospect. He was never anything special. I hope he has gotten better since his days at Iowa State as well, because if he hasnt, he wont be much of a difference maker.

I seen him play at practices. he is good but I think he will be the centerpiece to the SU offense. But, I was shocked to see him in this year’s draft. I think a good comparison to him is Desmond Mason.

Yea, he has the wow factor on O. He is good. I see him as a mid to late 1st rounder. He is super athletic.
