mgreener_34ParticipantDamn, I know he’s speaking the truth right now, but LeBron is litterally throwing these dudes to the wolves. I’m happy to see a profesional athlete actually say something real instead of that mumbo jumpo scripted crap

PhillytheKidhe knows when he’s tired athletically, his game suffers. All the dunking and overpowering is great, but he knows he himself isn’t talented enough to rely on skills other than his athleticism when he’s fatigued from giving it his all. I mean 5 straight finals is no joke. But still, MJ’s motor was historic. He also could rely on his shot, and was a true 2 way player. Lebron has to get better in the 4th quarter when his game suffers because he’s tired in the NBA Finals.
Either become a more skilled baller, or work on your shot to uplift your teammates by hitting some big buckets. I think he was mentally defeated knowing, without his athleticism, late in games in the NBA finals, he becomes human.

llperezdidnt lebron shoot like 37% for the finals? I wouldnt do too much pointing fingers. But yeah he is absolutely correct, his team was not as talented. No shame in getting as far as they did with what they had.

PhillytheKidI don’t think he had confidence that shot was going in. He did not take that shot like he was going to save the series. Instead, he threw up a knuckle-ball because he knows, he gets tired in the 4th quarter of a long series in the Finals, and when he’s tired, his shot suffers and he can’t rely on his skill.
he must be jealous of ballers with skill like Steph, MJ, and Kobe who were killers and wanted to take big shots in crunch time because they trusted their skills.
Lebron for going out in public and calling himself the "greatest player on Earth", clearly that was a defensive statement. He knows he doens’t have the skill to hit big shots and feel confident like they are going in when he is tired and his athleticism fades.
Lebron looks to pass in the 4th quarter because he doesn’t trust his shot, and is too tired to take it to the rim effectively, and Iggy did a great job on him. Guys like Steph Curry drained 3 after 3 in the 4th quarter, while Lebron was Clanking his shots in the 4th quarter. Must suck not having your super-human athleticism (not skill), in the 4th quarter of game 6 of the NBA finals.

For_Never_EverParticipantThe Warriors are more talented, yes. But did the Cavs have enough in my opinion also yes. The Cavs starting lineup aren’t a bunch of scrubs. Lebron can’t dodge complete blame for the Cavs losing.

BiggysmallsParticipantThe Cavs lineup is basically a bunch of borderline scrubs. Not one of those guys would start for a majority of teams that made the playoffs.
Who would Dellavadova start for?
Shumpert might start for a quarter of the playoff teams.
Thompson didn’t even start for his own team, and wouldn’t start for over half the teams
Mozgov would maybe start for six teams
James Jones wouldn’t PLAY for 20 NBA teams
JR Smith wouldn’t start for anybody, and probably wouldn’t play major minutes on a lot of good teams.
What James said is kind of his own fault because he’s the GM of the team, but its true. Love and Irving make this series very different I’d guess.

zer0d0ubtI think Dellavadova will start for somebody next year.

HobbyOGParticipantStop it…he’s not starting for no one..he goes to the hole and throws the lob b4 he even looks. Turnover prone, doesn’t create for his teammates. That’s why he wasn’t bringing the ball up.

cg085hParticipantNo one was saying this when it was 2-1 CAVS.
Keep in mind Irving played game 1 which they lost.
GS made the proper adjustments and took care of business.

omphalosParticipantHonestly, Lebron shouldn’t be talking trash about anyone right now.
Having been frustrated about all the touch calls Lebron has received for years, this was the first time I saw the referees say "we aren’t going to bail you out with soft calls".
When guys were allowed to challenge his physicality with a bit of their own defensively, he really struggled to finish at the rim.
There were plenty of makeable shots that he just plain missed, which you might call fouls in the modern NBA, but would sure as hell have been no-calls in the 80s and 90s.
You can’t talk about feeling confident because you’re the best player in the world and then get forced into low efficiency on mostly straight up coverage and then throw your team under the bus.
If he played up to his own standards of efficiency, or even close to them, then he might be entitled to vent about his team not being talented enough.
But he didn’t play well, so he should stop deflecting and show some humility.

For_Never_EverParticipantHe had a few defensive lapses that Van Gundy pointed out during the game. I noticed it too, and each time he would blame his teammates for him not making the right switch or rotation.

RUDEBOY_Participantmozgov is no shaq or hakeem..but he has proving he can be a productive starter in this league…..he’s a big guy that can hit his ft,defend, rebound, protect the rim and score around the basket…

vulture711ParticipantWith two all-stars in street clothes he is 100% right. Tough to win a title 1 on 5. Its historic they were able to get this far and win two finals games. Injuries have become a huge part of the game for some reason and winning a championship is more like a survival of the fittest. Ask OKC or the Bulls. Can only do so much minus your stars

CynthiaParticipantI liked the part when LeBron was screaming at Tristan because he switched and LeBron got overpowered and scored on by Draymond Green. I thought LeBron was a good defender, he’s scared to guard Draymond? I mean the guy was guarding Livingston every time he came on the floor, watch out now got to make sure Livingston doesn’t drop 50 on you…what a joke.
The only person losing talent is LeBron, his age seems to already be showing, he gets rattled WAY too easy and then he lets it affect his game.

omphalosParticipantYeah I noticed that too. He had no problem scoring on Green in the post, but can’t guard him? Weak.

BigChamp12ParticipantPersonally, I think Lebron reacted that way because he already had 4 fouls and couldn’t be aggressive while guarding Green in the post. I don’t think he was scared or anything. However, I do feel as if he should”ve given a little more effort on that play.

Make’Em Say UGHParticipantLet’s take it easy. Weren’t we just praising LBJ with having one of the greatest final averages in history? People were saying just days ago that he could win the finals MVP whether they win or lose. (literally just days ago!)
-Let’s give him his props for being an all around talent.
-Doesn’t mean we have to agree with him though, I totally disagree with his statement. cg085h hit it on the head when he said no one was mentioning talent when Cavs were up 2-1.
-Most importantly this is about Golden State and MVP Curry taking care of business.

herceg_bukuParticipantThe fact is that their talents are more or less equal across the board, however the player tendencies are way off for cleveland, they have 2 streetballers that look good to people that have no sense of basketball and i am talking about Iman and JR. They dissapointed me beyond belief, they can not play organized basketball, they have no court sense but to come down the court take some ridicolous drible and pull up shot. That is what it came down to in the end, Cleveland is not a TEAM but a bunch of guys that are talented.
Golden State is a team, where Ezelie is as important as Bogut. Do u think Ezelie would have ever seen time in Cleveland? No because they are not a team structure.
Bottom line, enough excuses.
