LA12ParticipantI just wanted to know, why did Willie Cauley-Stein’s stock drop to the mid first round? Is it because of his play or because of the sickle-cell report? I’m watching the game right now and he seems to be playing just fine right now.

King CaluchaParticipantHe looks solid defensively as usual. Offensively he doesn’t do much besides alley-oops…

MikezParticipantHe needs to stay around there, The Cavaliers need a center.

King CaluchaParticipantI can only see JaVale 2.0 in this guy… which is a good thing, but probably late lotto at best in this draft class.

Mad MaxParticipantHe’s developed a nice little left hand, a good hook shot, and can turn to his right shoulder and finish with his left. I think with his shot blocking abilites, length, atheltic abilities, and some solid offensive moves, I would say he’s worth a lotto pick.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantJoakim Noah
And yes, it’s because of sickle-cell.

drpg913ParticipantHe def shouldn’t be ddrafted in the lottery he doesn’t strike me as a starting NBA center just another tall guy.He doesn’t play with Noah’s intensity or his leadership abilities and high Defensive IQ not to mention Noah is a far superior passer than he is.

hbomb3300ParticipantHe is a hell of an athlete at 7 foot who can really contribute on defense… in a fast faced system he can even help quite a bit offensively because he is just so fast end to end. If a team can draft a player of his caliber in the middle of the 1st I would call that a win. Worst case scenerio he is a great option off the bench.

Chilbert arenasParticipantNoel is no better than WCS offensively and he still got drafted top 10, in a weaker draft of course but he was also coming off an ACL tear and was still talked about as a potential #1 pick.

Jester87ParticipantThe difference between WCS and other raw big athletic guys drafted in the lottery in recent years is that his potential on offense seems quite limited, because not only he doesn’t have any back to the basket move or a jump shot, he has a bad footwork and poor hands, sometimes it looks like he struggles to just catch the ball and he lacks touch. This is a big concern because he can’t be much effective even as a mere catch and finish player on offense. I think he’ll go in the 10-25 range, depending on how many teams need a center.

Chilbert arenasParticipantNoel is equally limited, neither have any tough, or post moves and are painful to watch at the free throw line

Jester87ParticipantYep, in fact I wasn’t that high on Noel (though I think he can really benefit from his year off if they find a way to rebuild his jumper and work on his footwork in the low post), but he had better touch close to the rim, smoother moves and looked like a better target in pick and roll or drive and dish situations.
