Washington desperately needs a victory to keep their at large hopes alive. UCLA is playing real well right now.

    Key matchups:

sf- Quincey Pondexter vs Tyler Honeycutt

Quincey is a senior and arguably the best player in the pac 10 right now. I see him going late first round. He defends and has been hitting his shots all season from the perimiter. Great athlete and physical specimen.

I honestly believe Honeycutt is the best pro prospect in the conference right now. He missed the first month of the season and has been huge in UCLA’s improvement. He is a 6-7 sf with length and athleticism. He doesn’t really try and take over games, but he gets rebounds and finishes well around the hoop and is an excellent passer. He is coming off a 14 point game on 5-5 shooting and was one assist short of a triple double about 2 weeks ago.

    Other guys to watch:

Isiah Thomas(wash). He was the conference freshman of the year last season and hasn’t slowed down putiing up about 18 a game this year. He is lightning quick and an explosive scorer.

Malcolm Lee(ucla). Has been playing well at pg and while he hasn’t been as impressive as advertised before the season, he is solid and should be a first rounder in another year or two.
