rvan14ParticipantNick Broges from ESPN Insider just posted the new details of Love to GS. Talks have stalled out because GS doesn’t want to take on Kevin Martin’s contract in return. GS is now hesistant to move Klay Thompson to Minnesota. GS trying to center new deal around David Lee and Harrison Barnes and no Kevin Martin.

Chilbert arenasParticipantLee Barnes and future 1st round picks might be the best deal the Wolves are going to get.
Not trying to be a jerk but this thread is the equivalent of MSNBC reporting “breaking news” on flight 370 being that they still don’t know what happened.

Magic JordanParticipantIf the Wolves aren’t getting Klay AND Barnes than Boston can trump that offer. Wolves are fools to think Lee gets them to the playoffs. I agree all of this is just postering right now.

doubledribblerParticipantWhile I know Love can opt out, but an aging overpaid Lee, Barnes after the season he just had and a future first for a team that will likely be a late first. If you can’t dump a bad contract with Love or get back a known guy with real potential, what is the point of trading him? I know everyone says to get back something, but at least Love is a reason to come out and watch your .500 team play and there are going to be some occassional great games throughout the year from him.

DolanCareParticipant@chilbert. While I agree that this thread doesn’t offer any new information, you shouldn’t necessarily bash the thread. This forum has been bogged down by some gawd awful posts recently and this one is definitely in a top-tier.

MopgrassParticipantDavid Lee and Harrison Barnes should both be playin PF. So I don’t get it. Frankly, I think Klay Thompson and a 1st rounder would be nice enough… but I guess they need Lee to make the numbers work. They’d also have to move Martin.
If they can get Thompson and Barnes, they should drop everything and do whatever to make that happen .

PurpleMonkeyDishwasherParticipantThe Wolves should keep Love until they find a worthy deal. They do themselves no favors bringing in ordinary players.
The Wolves will be no worse of a team if they let Love go for nothing as they would be settling for the Warriors 2nd rate deal given they will have capspace to add players if they let him walk in a year.
The Warriors will regret missing out on this deal if they try to fleece the Wolves and the Wolves turn elsewhere.
