 Sounds crazy but I believe this scenario is suddenly in play.

Cavs have flown Exum in on a Private Jet for a last minute workout and sources say one member of the Cleveland backcourt will be gone in less than 24 hours.

Exum has tested off the charts in basketball IQ and is in the top few for quickness in both a straight line and lane agility.

 

Additionally, hes already shown through his huge endorsements that hes the most marketable player in the draft.

Thoughts?

1. They aren’t trading Kyrie Irving. They’re just not. Tyrese Rice was the catalyst in Blatt’s system. Kyrie is just too good. He’ll sign a max deal and stay.

2 In light of Kyrie staying, they’re not going to bring Exum in to play a position he doesn’t want to play. Waiters may still be gone, but probably only to make room for Arron Afflalo if they agree to this deal with Orlando. In that case, I am hoping McBuckets lasts to No. 12 because I want absolutely no part of Rodney Hood or James Young at No. 12.

If the Cavs keep the pick, they’ll take Wiggins. If they trade it for the 4 and 12, they’ll take Embiid at No. 4.

If they have a deal in place to move back to 3 or 4. I can’t see them getting Exum any other way. And Waiters would most definitely be the guy to go if they are to pull off a trade involving Irving or Waiters and rightfully so.

Nope.  OP saw the report that the Cavaliers asked him to and just assumed.

 

As an aside, until Embiid got hurt the Cavaliers had no interest in talking to him.  They didn’t have a whole month to get to him, its a last minute thing because trade down offers have just now gotten serious and Exum was tied up with other teams.

 Exum has just as good as a chance of anyone in the draft to become the best player. There isn’t any reason why he shouldn’t be able to go #1 along with Parker and Wiggins. I am not saying I would be him over Parker and Wiggins, but I can understand why someone would.
