BrentSuriaga01ParticipantHoly Sh-t! Kris Jenkins!
What a game.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantMaybe the most incredible game I’ve ever seen.
The best team won. And I mean team in the truest sense of the word. Not a high level NBA prospect on the roster really. While basketball purists like to say that fundamentals and team chemistry will always win out over pure talent, in reality that’s not always the case. This year it was. Congrats to villanova and Kris Jenkins, who hit the shot that every kid always dreams of but few ever get to experience. What a game!
And Marcus Paige is a straight up assassin. That was one of the most incredible shots I have ever seen given the circumstances and it’s a shame it will ultimately be overlooked.

OhCanada-ParticipantGreat game. Huge fan of the officiating in this game. My main concern watching these games is how the officials will call the game. Basketball was played today and the officials although will never be perfect set the stage for a triumphant win for Jenkins and Nova.
Overall the year was lackluster and the tournament wasn’t the greatest but the final game made up for it all like it usually does.

ncballerThought officiating was terrible. You could hear hand on TV on one of Hicks missed layup, then his block late in the game was all ball called on UNC. 3 of Meeks foul calls were horrendous. Also Justin Jackson got mugged on the layup at the end of the half.
I don’t like blaming refs but my blood is boiling pretty hard right now.
Still does not take away from the fact that Nova hit some really really tough shots and did an excellent job denying Brice Johnson the ball, and a part of me is proud of Jay Wright. He deserves one. One of the best in the business.

D7H7NParticipantThe officiating was awful for both sides. With some big questionable ones down the stretch against UNC but who cares anymore. Nova played elite defense, UNC never exploited the mismatches by throwing it over the top or lobbing it. If I were a UNC fan, I would be mad that there was no one guarding the trailing Jenkins.

D7H7NParticipantReally hope Paige doesn’t go undrafted…I guess the best case scenario for Paige if no one drafts him is that he shoots light out in the summer league and the Warriors pick him up 🙂

Malik-UniversalParticipantwasnt a fan of that double team at the end before arcidiacono passed the ball to jenkins.. if arcidiacono makes a contested 3 in ur face so be it.. i saw jenkins trailing so i was hoping he would get him the ball.. jenkins was left open enough to get off a clean shot.. amazing game overall.. still cant believe what i saw.. as a fan i am so glad i got to witness that

holefillers1ParticipantKansas, N.C., Oklahoma and Miami were ranked 1, 3, 7 and 10 in the final rankings. Wow! Nova left them all in their wake.

unc3215ParticipantOfficiating was horrible and that was obvious, the biggest concern to me was brice johnson. he was on the baseline and his guy was setting the pick at half court, his length should have deterred a shot. Hes a senior i blame him for that mishap, horrible defense on that last play. I had 7-1 odds to win the tourney in vegas,id rather win $0 and see those kids get a title,i hope berry and jackson stay and dont do anything stupid.

rickybobbyParticipantThe officiating was horrible all game. Especially against UNC. Villanova was allowed to play physical defensively; especially in the paint with the switch, fronting and contesting shots. While on the other hand UNC was called for a lot of touch fouls. At one point they were called for 8-10 straight fouls without one being called on Nova. Also i never seen a team travel as much and not get called for it. One sequence 3 players travel on the same possesion in front of the refs near the side line and got away with it.
With that being said it still was a good game. Gotta give Nova credit for hitting shots, having a great gameplan and executing it well. It just felt like it was 8 agaisnt 5 the whole night because of the refs.

holefillers1ParticipantUNC was in the bonus before Nova in the second half. So stop it with that shite.

NBAjunkie81ParticipantI thought the Vegas Odds makers had it correct w/ UNC as a Very slight favorite……. And UNC played beautifully for the entire Tourney……
But I think we’re going to look back at that 6 game stretch by Villanova as one of the great tournament runs in recent memory……. beating Iowa, Miami & Oklahoma by an average of 30+ points…….
& then beating two #1 seeds & traditional power houses in Kansas & UNC in the Regional & National Finals was extremely impressive…….
And to cap it off w/ the purest game winning stroke in Championship game history was crazy……… That’s why in Philly & the surrounding areas they’re all screaming Villanizzle fo Shizzle…..

unc3215ParticipantSo everyone on here is ok with brice johnson standing under his own rim guarding nobody when its only 4 seconds left and obviously gonna be a jumpshot not a layup, they blew it on the last play and it should be in overtime, unc messed up no other way around it.
