boshjonesfordParticipantthey focused on Valanciunas and he still played well…..Lithuania might be better then this USA team considering the fact that they wore aperently missing their starting PG and their SG was their primary point guard

GottaBeTheShoesParticipantNow thats what I wanted to see from Jeremy.. He needed to just take a game over and score a lot. I was questioning if he was overrated after I didn’t see him looking much better than he was for connecticut in the tournament but this is what I wanted to see to prove me wrong. Great game from Lamb but again valanciunas looks like a man amongst boys. Yeah the US doesn’t have very good big man but they are pretty defensive minded and i expected them to keep him more in check. Valanciunas seems to be like a steal for the Raptors if that is even possible for a 5th pick.. He is rebounding at a high rate while being a very efficient scorer, and also the ability to block shots. He shows a great arsenal of abilities and I can’t wait to see what he can do when he finally gets in the NBA.. Jeremy Lamb though still impressed me with the fact that he can take over a game and be a more prolific scorer.

WizardofOzParticipantVal is a moster! He’s going to make the Cavs regret not taking him at #4.

boshjonesfordParticipantone thing that surprised me about Jonas Valanciunas is when you watch his interviews he seems like a soft spoken, not too serious europian kid….but when i saw him play he is very emotional/competitive (not as much as garnett but that kind of personality) … which in my opinion is a good thing for a big man to have as it shows compititive drive…
one thing he needs to do is gain waight – although he did own the usa front count he did get dunked on pretty hard one time by patrick young. current greate nba players wore skinier then him at his age (Tyson chandler, noah ect)

boshjonesfordParticipant^ for a young kid this guy is ulta competitive… i remember after the croatia loss (although he played really good) ….. they way he was talking in the interview showed how pissed of he was and he promised the fans him and his team would play better next ( next game he shoots 11/11 against canada)

GottaBeTheShoesParticipantI love any player who has that much heart. He seems like a great kid and cares more about winning than anything.

cward23ParticipantI love the fight in this kid. Even though none of these bigs he has faced are NBA second string caliber right now he still does what he is suppossed to do as a draft pick and thats dominate guys who arent even half as good. So many times you see players like that play to the level of their competition but not this guy.
Lamb looked great as well and showed me the second best performance in this setting for a young U.S.A player (out side of Austin Rivers straight dominating last year while playing on a team with college players inclduing kyrie Irving)

OhCanada-ParticipantDuring one of his interveiws he was asked what he has to do now that he has been drafted, what his next step is in the NBA. He never said his goal was to gain wieght, to gain post moves, to get in an Allstar game, or to be MVP. All he said is his goal is to bring a Championship to Toronto. This guy is a winner and Im extremely happy Toronto drafted him.

JBrace19ParticipantValanciunas is really good, but he won’t be as dominant against seasoned vets. It will take him a few years, but i think he will make the jump to the pro’s

Knicksboy3ParticipantI wanna see Jonas at the next level. I don’t wanna say he’ll be a star because he’s playing college kids.

204ballerParticipantStill, hes 19 and hes being extremely productive, good pick for the Raptors. Now Bargnani can slide to the 4 and play his true position. Also with a top 5 pick for next years draft, Toronto will be very good young team and upcoming.
Bayless, Derozan, draft pick 2012, Bargnani and Jonas
Calderon, Ed Davis, J.Johnson, A.Johnson Barbosa
