storm33ParticipantWhich undrafted guys do you think are most likely to make the NBA?
I would think Manny Harris, Brian Zoubek, Sherron Collins, Deshawn Sims, Matt Bouldin.

paint intruderParticipantZoubek was signed by New Jersey from what I’ve heard, so he in a way made it to the NBA.
And I hope Torrance and Collins make it.0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/03/2010 - 6:25am #345952

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantJust going off situations
Charlotte- Sherron Collins. I think he got a guaranteed training camp invite which helps. He also plays a position Charlotte will need to address, they have open roster spots, and little money with which to fill them.
Chicago- They will need to fill out a roster, and they have a number of interesting candidates. Matt Bouldin, Samardo Samuels, and AJ Ogilvy are guys who can make a team. All three are big program, big production guys which has been the Bulls model for rookies in the past.
Detroit- Mac Koshwal. He would appear to be the kind of complementary big man who could work well next to Monroe and has the traits that will make him appealing to Detroit. He’ll take charge, dive for loose ball, rebound, and defend. Plus, they have the open roster spots with only a MLE and a few trade pieces to work with.
Miami- Mikhail Torrance or Damian Johnson. Open roster and the ability to catch an eye. Torrance is a big point, and Johnson is a randy, grinder type wing who could work his way into becoming a defensive stopper.
New Jersey- Wayne Chism, Tweety Carter, and/or Ben Uzoh. Anyone sense a trend with the kind of teams I am going for? Teams with no players and a chance to catch an eye. I don’t think playing basketball will help Zoubek’s cause for getting an opportinity to make it to training camp. I expect him to look really slow next to NBA-caliber athletes.
New York or Boston- Ryan Wittman. He can stand in a corner and wait for a point guard to kick it out to him. I see no reason that he could not stick as a Kapono or Korver-type specialist, and the fact that his father has been a long time NBA guy does not hurt his cause.

storm33ParticipantBeing a Pistons fan, I’ll be interested to see if either Mac Koshwal from Depaul or Jordan Egsleder from Northern Iowa work out. Koshwal has some potential but came out of college too early, and Egsleder is a high major guy that held his own against Cole Aldrich in their victory over Kansas but isn’t very quick.
Also, what about Jon Scheyer? He could be the best college player not picked (along with Manny Harris, Sherron Collins, Scottie Reynolds, Mikhail Torrence), but he has a tough situation in Washington with Kirk Hinrich, John Wall, and Gilbert Arenas.

TRC1991ParticipantI think Osiris Eldridge can play at the next level, he has serious range, can be instant offense off the bench, and can play both positions in the backcourt

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantI’m still trying to figure out which team Scheyer is going to play for. Foxsports.com’s Jeff Goodman first said Miami. Then Draftexpress said Washington. Well, he isn’t on Washington.
I guess Miami is still a possibility, but there has been no word on that front. For undrafted rookies to make a team, they first have to get to training camp. The summer league tends to be the venue opens those doors. We just don’t know yet who Scheyer has caught on with, so it is somewhat difficult to gauge. If he was in the spot Matt Bouldin was in, I think he would be a lock to be the 13th or 14th man on the Bulls. If nothing else, they would be able to trot him out for season ticket holders and community events because he is from the Chicago suburbs. If he has to step on the floor as a zone buster or for a two minute clip when Rose needs to fix a contact or whatever, he probably won’t be awful.

WizardofOzParticipantI think Scheyer is on Washington’s summer league team and I think the website excluded him because it hasn’t been made official yet and there are numerous sources that say he isn’t playing for Washington and the website is just not sure yet. I do think that Scheyer will have a tough time making Washington’s roster because they already have a whole rack of guards.
