Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantI wasn’t necessarily rooting for Cleveland in this series and I’m not really a huge fan of lebron. However, I can appreciate greatness and love a good storyline. If anyone was going to deliver Cleveland a championship, it had to be lebron and in the manner that he did it. That chase down block on igoudala may have been the play of the game. I don’t know if there is another player in NBA history who could have made that play. Congrats to the cavs and the city of Cleveland. It’s been a long time coming.
And congrats to the warriors too for a hell of a season, even if it didn’t end the way we and they expected it to. What the did this year was spectacular. I’m sure curry will receive his share of criticism after this series, but that takes nothing away from the historical overall season he had. I still think if green plays in game 5 they likely close it out but I guess we’ll never know.

frogmanParticipantFiring David Blatt, Tristan Thompson’s monster contract, basically trading Andrew Wiggins for Kevin Love are all completely justified now.

doubledribblerParticipantCrazy how one game changes a whole bunch of conversations.
I think Blatt had to be fired. The players didn’t respect him and it shouldn’t be too surprising when a team brings in a high paid assistant like Lue. That guy is always the backup plan.
Thompson is still overpaid, but very valuable. You can’t lose assets in the NBA for nothing and I think the pressure of James’ 1 year deal plan helped to make sure the deal got done at the number higher than the Cavs wanted.
Wiggins wasn’t going to help them beat the Warriors last year. I don’t think he would have been enough this year and it would have created a bigger hole at PF. It was easier for them to patch up a wing spot with JR, Shumpert, Jefferson, etc the past couple of years. Love was inconsistent in the playoffs, but he was always a threat for the defense to have to pay attention to and tonight he got a lot of big rebounds and hit a few timely shots.

daggers818ParticipantI got a lot of negs on this post after game 4…
Perhaps Lebron, knowing it’s looking bleak, baited Green into an altercation that would likely result in a flagrant thereby knocking Green out of game 5. If so, it worked and gives the Cavs their best chance to return to Cleveland, win game 6, build confidence, momentum, and steal game 7 resulting in the biggest finals comeback of all time and cementing his legacy with skill and cunning
