Please Everyone! Even though we all wanna see the Lebron vs MJ match up…. Vote Fair. If you really think the Nuggets can beat the Nets or the Suns can beat the Clippers, be fair about it. Also, please don’t just vote the Jazz because your team is the Jazz you know… Vote who you really think would win, that’s what makes this game fun!

Also remember. Every player is in their prime and healthy!!!

Remember those rules, vote fair, and have fun!!!

Votes will be counted either tomorrow or the next day, depending on the amount we get.

    Let’s get this thing started!!!

Every player is on thier prime and healthy. Wow. That’s a game changer. I couldn’t keep up with the draft from night to night especially when alot of the players being picked I’ve never really seen. Great job to all of those who kept this thing going and got us to this point. I’ll try to pick Winners for matchups but I may not vote for every team because I see alot of matchups that are too close for me to decide on impulse. I would hate to guess a tiebreaker.

Wow those were some tough matchups! Nets vs Nuggets killed me. People forget how damn good TMac was always liked him more than Kobe. Had to go on nba reference site I forget how good some guys stats were. I went back to there prime years to figured it out that way. Obviously generations are tough the older guys stats are misleading like a Bob Cousy in modern day NBA isn’t on the same level as other point guards. But kudos on this project totally dig it. These things will always be debatable biggest tease in sports matching up players against generations. Everyone wants to see prime Lebron against Jordan or prime shaq against wilt chamberlain because I honestly don’t know who’s better unless they actually played against each other Only God knows.

Game 1: Hawks over Jazz. Barkley pulls McHale out while Moncrief and Wilkins attack the basket and Jermaine can only do so much with Parish down there to clean up. Stockton can only do so much as the Hawks can throw the length of Moncrief or Wilkins on him if he starts to do something.

Game 2: Knicks over Grizzlies. Marc is a tough match up for Kareem as he is big, strong and long. Memphis doesn’t have the defenders or the size to match up with Maravich, Butler and Mullin (Cooper can only guard one of them at a time). Ball movement might be a problem for New York later, but not in this game. Plus having Anthony and Rasheed on the same time is just waiting for something to happen.

Game 3: Celtics over Bucks. Tough one. Wade and Johnson could contain Westrbook and take advantage of Sharman. However, the lacking height of Pettit and Unseld would have a tough time with the height and athleticism of Robinson and Marion. I think Pettit and Unseld may be strong enough to still get some rebounds and such and I think this one relies more on the guards, so I’ll go with the duo of Wade and Johnson.

Game 4: Pelicans over Bulls. These teams match up well as Howard and Mutombo wash each other out. Nowitzki spreads the floor better than Aldridge, but Aldridge can defend and rebound better. But ultimately, it comes down to the point guards. I think the Big O is too big for Nash to handle and to do anything about. In the end New Orleans has too much offense for the Bulls defense.

Game 5: Sixers over Thunder. I didn’t really like this Philly team, but I think they pull this one out. Both teams are about shooting. I figure the advantage goes that Pau and Towns can both spread the floor and defend (this will take Hayes out of the way of blocking shots). A clutch Iverson also shows up and Miller shoots out the lights.

Game 6: Mavericks over Magic. Dallas has too much firepower. It’s hard to go against KG, but Griffin has the foot speed to at least get in his way on the perimeter and Mikan can just wait to block shots as he doesn’t have to worry about Big Ben doing anything on offense. Plus they can throw in Pippen to help out on him as well. Griffin and Mikan might be too big and athletic for Wallace. Rose and Harden can take it to the old guys with their athleticism. Dallas also has 4 guys who can handle and pass the ball (could bump up the ball movement).

Game 7: Wizards over Pacers. It’s hard to handle Wilt and I don’t know if Walton would be up to it. Rebounding duo of Grant and Wilt is nice as well. I also like the backcourt of Cousy and Dumars to out play West and Petrovic. Cunningham is a nice athletic addition for the Pacers, but it’s not enough to make a difference.

Game 8: Warriors over Rockets. This one was an easier choice. Rockets lack shooters and their big men duo of Moses and Sampson is good, but then they have to go against Yao and the Brow (it rhymes, I like it). Those 2 are huge. Plus, the defense of Billups, Bryant and George can shut down Parker, Gervin and Arizin (lack of shooting really hurts them).

Game 9: Portland over Sacramento. Tough matchup here. Each team has distributors, shooters and scorers on the perimeter. So I focused on the big men and I think you have to give it to Duncan and Cousins. That’s a strong inside out duo with good passing and shot blocking. Bosh can stretch the floor, but I think Duncan can handle him.

Game 10: Nets over Nuggets. Well, they have Lebron, so that helps. Wilkes is a good defender, but I think he needs some more help with Lebron. Jones and Green help Lebron with defense against McGrady and Schayes. I also like the addition of Gilmore to subdue the effect of Russell.

Game 11: Hornets over Pistons. I think Shaq and Love will be too much for Cowens and Nance as they lack the size to compete. Detroit could make it tight if they made this into a running match as they have better overall athletes. Detroit has good perimeter defense, they just needed some more beef down low.

Game 12: Raptors over Timberwolves. Another tough one, but I think Toronto pulls this one out. Down low, Thurmmond and Jones bring more defense and rebounding than Kemp and McAdoo. Also, the Raptors have two bigger wing players in Ginobili and Bird who can pick up Magic. This also works out for them too as Iguodala won’t take that much of an advantage with K.Johnson guarding him. The athleticism of Carter, Iggy and Kemp could create problems, but I think this is going to turn into a grind em out kinda game.

Game 13: Cavaliers over Spurs. I really like this Cavs team. Great perimeter defense and Hakeem doing his thing down low. I just don’t think the perimeter players of the Spurs could do much against Wall/Sprewell/Leonard.

Game 14: Clippers over Suns. Phoenix doesn’t have anybody that can handle MJ that well. On the flipside, Artest and Jordan can slow down the scoring of Baylor and Paul. Rebounding of Rodman and Lanier could help them out, but Reed and Mourning can hold their own.

Game 15: Heat over Lakers. Lakers might have the highest scoring team on this list, but the Heat have the advantage in rebounding. Ewing will have to deal with a lot of players driving the basket as well.

These are hard. My head hurts. I’m going to bed. 🙁

Game 1: Hawks over Jazz. Moncrief locks down Stockton and Barkley controls the glass.

Game 2: Grizzlies over Knicks, as the Knicks can’t contain the four out offense with Kareem down low.

Game 3: Bucks over Celtics as Robinson roasts Unseld down low.

Game 4:Bulls over Pelicans as Dandridge switches on to Robertson, and Steve Nash has perfect pick and roll partners in Dirk and Howard.

Game 5: Thunder over the Sixers, the Sixers can’t contain the Curry-Amare pick and roll. If Towns ends up having the best career out of any of these guys it’s a different story, and he might.

Game 6: Magic over Mavs, even though the Mavs have probably the best interior D in the tourney, Pippen could shut down Dantley, the primary scorer for the Mavs.

Game 7: Wizards over Pacers, Walton was great in his prime but no way he’s stopping prime Wilt, Wizards have just enough spot up shooting to survive.

Game 8: Warriors over Rockets, George switches on to Gervin, Billups prevents Parker’s penetration, Warriors prevail despite Moses getting a bunch of offensive rebounds.

Game 9: Kings over Blazers, the Blazers have better floor spacing but prime Duncan own the paint

Game 10: Nets over Nuggets, prime LeBron is too good, the Nuggets lack offensive firepower

Game 11: Hornets over Pistons, Shaq feasts on Cowens in the post

Game 12: Raptors over T-Wolves, despite the presence of Magic the Raps actually have better playmakers with KJ, Manu, Bird, and even Jones out of the high post.

Game 13: Cavs over Spurs, Kawhi takes away the threat of Penny, Cavs survive Brand bullying DeBusschere on the block.

Game 14: Clippers over Suns, Artest does a good job on Baylor, Chris Paul has trouble finishing at the rim against Zo and Willis Reed.

Game 15: Lakers over Heat in an ugly one, Bellamy and Lucas would own the glass in the half court, but the Lakers would benefit from a lot better floor spacing and speed on the break.

Think you’re mixing up the Mavs and Magic. Pippen is on the Mavs and would be guarding Dantley on Magic. Think it looks like you meant to put Mavs as winners…?

Think you’re mixing up the Mavs and Magic. Pippen is on the Mavs and would be guarding Dantley on Magic. Think it looks like you meant to put Mavs as winners…?

     1. Hawks. Defenseand atlethicism will be too much for the Jazz to overcome.

     2. Grizzlies. Carmelo and Kareem would scores in bunches to defeat the Knicks.

     3. Celtics. Tough defensive backcourt in DJ and D-Wade plus the bigman duo of Pettit and Unseld will be tough to overcome for the Bucks.

     4. Bulls. A prime Dwight and prime Dirk would be tough to stop along with Steve Nash.

     5. Thunder. The splash trio of Peja, Steph and Klay would too hard to stop.

     6. Magic. The bigman duo of Garnett and Wallace would be very hard to score on even if you’re Blake Griffin.

     7. Wizards. Prime Wilt would make that team unstoppable.

     8. Warriors. Not even close.

     9. Kings. Prime Duncan and Grant Hill would be hard to stop on offense and defense.

    10. Nets. Lebron would make all of them better.

    11. Hornets. Prime Shaq and Love would outrebound Cowens and Nance.

12.Timberwolves. Showtime 2.0 with Magic and VC, Kemp and Iggy.

    13. Cavaliers. Tough defense beat great offense but prime Sabonis will own Olajuwon.

    14. Clippers. MJ of course plus Artest will counter Rodman.

    15. Heat. Isiah and Clyde on offense would be tough to stop and Lucas and Bellamy would outrebound the combo of Ewing and Worthy. This one is tough.

     1. Hawks- too much of an advantage on defense

    2. Grizzlies- Jabar and Melo is too much

    3. Bucks- Robinson would kill both their bigs

    4. People are right O-Rob would kill Nash, but Nash wouldn;t have to guard him. Dandridge will, and Nash can guard Munroe. (still not easy, but pick and roll with nash and dirk?)

    5.  Thunder; Hornacek will be the weak link- having to guard Thompson; no true small forward is their achilles.

    6. Mavericks; I think the Magic is one of the weakest teams here in terms of fit.

7.) Wizards- Wilt would be too much for their bigs to handle.

8.) Warriors easily. One of the few games that isn’t hard to estimate.

9/) Blazers fit together better, but I think Duncan would be the x factor; him and cousins would be too much for bosh and Daughtery

10.) Very close. Nets. I think Lebron would be too much physically for the Nuggets to handle.

11.) Hornets will kill the Pistons with Shaq. Too much size, and shooters.

12.) Wow. So close. Gotta go with the Wolves, even though the Raptors have the size. I think people forget just how dominate Mcadoo was, probably the best player in this draft, outside of the first round.

13.) Cavs- BTW, Leonard can guard most 4’s. Best defensive team here.

14.) Clippers match up to well, and the Suns don’t. No one to even slow down the best player ever.

15.) Lakers have too much firepower. So close.
