MettaWorldDurant1ParticipantHEHE Uconn wins another Championship hard fought good win. 60-54 Shabazz Napier was Mvp of the game IMO

llpereznot the prettiest of games, but major congrats to uconn. Just go to show how wide open this year was with an 8 vs a 7 and i n the final AP top 25 rankings, uconn was 18th and kentucky was unranked. I actually really like seeing a wide open field like this. Napier carried them and the whole team played great defense. Everytime kentucky got back to 1 down, uconn made some shots.

vulture711ParticipantThis is sort of going to be the norm. Tough to build a dynasty when the best players leave every year and you have to start over. I can imagine we’ll see plenty of winners come from teams with experienced backcourts and junior/seniors who’ve been together. I thought Wisconsin fit that mold. You still need talent though
This year I thought any of a dozen teams could win – makes it exciting I think

drk3351ParticipantCalipari was outcoached. He ran some very bland sets and I though Ollie did a great job going to zone when Young was out, congrats to Uconn, they steamrolled everyone except in round 1 lol vs. St. Joes (Joes could have easily won that)

GrandmamaParticipantUConn’s defense was huge the last couple of games. Props to Napier who’s been amazing all year long. Ollie is a great coach and he really knows how to rally the troops. Even with Calhoun gone, the future is bright in Storrs, Connecticut.

DondiJohnParticipantBrings the best class year in and year out but often loses due to free throws. Teach your team that

TimeForNineParticipantKevin Ollie really has all the looks of being a phenomenal coach. He was always a heady, smart PG and seems to have an extremely bright future ahead.

Sewok15ParticipantAll the soo called ESPN experts picked Kentucky…that is when I knew UCONN had a great chance to beat UK. It didn’t look good for them at points at the end of the 1st half and middle of the 2nd (especially when James Young brought the house down) but they had the composure and effort to pull it out. Kevin Ollie is coach of the millennium and a ton of teams at the end of the first round are probably upset they might have lost a chance on getting Shabazz.

omphalosParticipantHard to say Calipari was outcoached, his team missed 13 or so FTs, what can you really do about that? Kentucky killed themselves with their misses at the line.
UConn wasn’t that impressive in the second-half, Napier’s interactions with Boatright were, um, interesting.

Ghost01ParticipantI wouldn’t say he was out coached, but the lat minute was rough.
I’m sure it’s possible he didn’t want Harrison to foul when he did, but after that they needed to foul and extend the game. That was bad clock management. Probably wouldn’t have mattered, but would have given them a chance.
