delfamParticipantgreat game to watch, UCF won this more than UCONN lost it, Marcus Jordan played really well and you can tell he’s a great leader. Keith Clanton is also a unique prospect, good outside shooter but big enough to bank downlow.
Andre Drummond had good stats but more cause of his height. He wasn’t very assertive and doesn’t demand the ball, still seems uncomfortable with that mask.
UCF looked great, but IMO UCONN is still a top 5 team and IMO when Drummond is healthy #1.

heelsfan1307ParticipantJeremy lamb is one of the more overrated prospects on this site that i can remember. This year he shoots and forces WAY too much, shown today with his 5-16 performance. Shabazz Napier proved that people are RIDICULOUS to say he is on the same level as Kendall Marshall and Andre Drummond is a big tall guy which i dont see much skill. No one will touch UNC or Kentucky this year.

kdtriv01ParticipantDont feel bad (heelsfan) people will give you negative points even though your points are valid.
I disagree with the premise that UCF won, Lamb lost this game for UConn
5-16 from the floor
3 turnovers vs 1 assist
Shot too much, passed to little. He’s starting to believe all the hype about himself. Remember last year when he played within the flow of the game, he was great. Now he’s too big for himself.

TRC1991Participantwow. the first of the big 4 to drop (unc, ohio state, kentucky)
0- Posted on: Fri, 11/25/2011 - 11:23am #609333
heelsfan1307Participanthonestly its the big 2.. (UNC and Kentucky) and then there are a few teams that are next tier, Oh State ,Uconn and duke
0- Posted on: Sat, 11/26/2011 - 12:32pm #609516

Dale WorthingtonParticipantI bet you Louisville, Baylor, and Florida go further than Duke in the NCAA Tournament.
Seth Curry is not a playmaker at the point and you can’t trust their bigs (Plumlee Bros. and tennis player Ryan Kelly).
Haven’t seen Drummond yet but it doesn’t sound good. Guys who are that raw should not go top 8. It’s just way too risky. Rather have a guy with less upside who is much safer.

providencefriars1ParticipantUConn suddenly stopped scoring with about 5 mins left and Marcus Jordan just took over. I was flipping between this game and St Louis vs Nova, I had stopped watching UConn when Jordan got the Tech and UConn extended their lead to 15 and I figured it was over. I saw on the bottom of the screen UCF cut it to 5 so I switched back.
Drummond had serious trouble finishing around the rim but he was active though. UCF definitely deserves this one.

delfamParticipantwell to be far UCONN isn’t that good on offense and Lamb has to shoot alot, the lack of a SF is really noticeable. I agree Drummond doesn’t show much skill or athleticism really, just a big body.

delfamParticipant^ IDK, i’d probably put UNC in tier one by itself, those other 4 I’d put in tier 2

WizardofOzParticipantWhoever coached Andre Drummond in HS should be ashamed of himself.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 11/25/2011 - 11:43am #609337

WizardofOzParticipantAnd Lamb was chucking. He always ends up shooting more when he’s forced to play PG because he can’t get them into their offense. Very good ballhandler and he has playmaking ability at SG, but a PG he is not. UConn will be in much better shape once Ryan Boatright becomes eligible tomorrow because right now they have no one to backup Napier.
Today’s game wasnt all bad for Drummond though. He had the best stretches I’ve seen him play this yr, but they were just that…stretches. He needs to realize just how big he is and play accordingly. Rebounds arent just going to fall in his lap and just because he’s big and on the court doesnt mean he’s available. He has to actively seek and work for the ball.

juicejc1ParticipantI always believed it is best that teams such as UConn lose games like this early. Calhoun said they have been struggling to find their identity, now they can see what is wrong and work to fix things before league play starts, at least this game was not lost in march.

delfamParticipantonce Boatright comes back than Lamb can play the SG when Napier is out. I think that was probably the problem they had today.

Hi its BenParticipantok you guys are overreacting with the lamb thing.. he had to play the PG spot because of no backup so no wonder he didnt have that great of a game. hes no PG.. get boatright back so lamb can be the all-time go to guy. relax…

uknationParticipantUk is on the level of UNC. They have a very good team and unlike UNC they have played a ranked team this year. UNC is good and looks great but who exactly have they played this year so far??
0 - Posted on: Fri, 11/25/2011 - 5:39pm #609391

Hi its BenParticipantMSU is pretty good. and youre a little bias as your name might suggest lol

akhan786ParticipantI can’t wait for UNC vs. Kentucky! Though UNC has shown some signs of brilliance you have to admit that they haven’t really been tested against a ranked team this early in the season. It’s kind of strange they only really scheduled cup cake teams for their non conference other than Kentucky.

kobyzParticipanti’m starting to belive Andre Drummond will end up being a bust, so imature, lack intangibles, lack understanding of how to be effective and constantly player, sadly he remind me very much JaVale McGee with the way he play and treat the game, he missing too much mind and mental things and i don’t know if he ever gonna be able to overcome this, it make the big talent he has somewhat irrelevant.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 11/25/2011 - 11:28pm #609422
dolla130ParticipantIf lamb is overrrated then what is Harrison Barnes I see and hear people rave about him and to me he is avg at best he to me was avg in high School he didn’t play no against no real talent in Iowa he played ok in all star games but thats about It to me as a player Barnes is damn near maxed out as a player will become a decent pro but that’s it lamb on the other hand is just scratching the surface of his game and potential and to me a better prospect and player then Barnes and will be the better pro he’s the better play maker and shoots and can get his own shot yeah Barnes has a nba ready body so what, not comparing lamb to Durant but Durant was 170 soaking wet and hes one of the best players in the league, I think that "nba body" crap is overrated sometimes,he had one bad game and people wanna jump on him Barnes played horrible for like the first half of a season last yr,
0 - Posted on: Fri, 11/25/2011 - 11:34pm #609423
dolla130ParticipantKentucky is gonna wild on unc they have playmakers at every starting spot and gilchrist is one of the best defensive players in college and will make it hard for Barnes to get good looks with his real limited offensive game and Teague will make Marshall work on defense and since t jones plays the 4 henson will have a slight advantage but unc lacks girth on there front court and are a bad rebounding team so it evens out And zeller hasn’t had to play a big that’s better or more athletic then him in a while due to the fact he’s always hurt
0 - Posted on: Fri, 11/25/2011 - 11:55pm #609426

rileymcshea3ParticipantYeah IMO Lamb does have more potential and Barnes wont be a go to guy in the NBA
People need to stop overreacting to the game Jeremy Lamb does bad ,because Barnes did the exact same thing last year until the best passing Pg in the NCAA came to save the Tarheels season

RUDEBOY_ParticipantHAHAHAHA
OH MY GOODNESS!
YALL Bandwagon Jumpers are A Major Trip..
How can yall Shift Gears and Abandon the guy YALL were Comparing to Jordan, Just Last Week?
Just becuz he had an Average game… Lamb will be an All-Star at the next level, not a Superstar…He still have a lot to work on..
I said it earlier, unless Lamb add more moves, improve his ball handling and not depend solely on his jumper as his bread and butter..A smart coach will know exactly how to use their defense to stop him….

Demarcus OnealParticipantWhat happened to the people saying Lamb would go number one overall over Drummond
