Russell0WestbrookParticipantI’ve been wondering why everybody is so high on Tyreke he is a good scorer but nothing more. He doesn’t make his teammates better or set them up and he can’t shoot. He’s a legit 2 guard prospect but he’s not a point. The only reason he plays point is because he can’t shoot at all. The kings would have been better off taking Jennings who is a better point and will be a better player. In summer league he kept ripping reke and blowing right by him. He would help develope their young bigs and would not take shots away from Martin. By drafting evans he will mess up chemistry by taking shots away from martin who is already a good scorer. They need a true point not a 2 guard running the point. I just never thought Evans was that good of a player he can get to the lane and that about it. He’s not very athletic and he can’t shoot when teams sagged off of him he struggled to score and turned the ball over a lot. Jennings would have been a better pick. He averaged as many turnovers as assist he’s not a point guard. He wasn’t even a great scorer in college that game against mizz got him drafted this high. This site didn’t even have him in the lotto until the tourney

BriguyParticipantseriously….
Anyways Evans with Kmartin will create match up problems all over the floor and make life even easier for Hawes and Thompson…. he does not NEED to be a PURE PG ….. let the dude play for a few weeks before you make such a ridiculous assumption…

quincey hodgeshe doesnt need to be a pure pg but he needs to be a better pg..needs to be able to set up the big men down low and get in he lane and dish off and cut down on his turnovers..right now hes a young larry huges of course he will get better and maybe become a pg but as of now hes a shooting guard playing point..not sure kings will give anyone real problems..at least not enough to win games..they will be the worst team in the nba this year

llperezthe kings might be the wort team (wolves and bucks may have something to say about that), but don’t blame that on Evans. When Jason frickin Thompson is your second best player, you are screwed regardless.

quincey hodgesim not blaming him but the kings just arent that good right now..there best 2 or 3 players arent as good as the bucks and the bucks play in the east….the wolves won double the games the kings did with out al jefferson for most of the season so im just guessing with him the whole season they will be better..the concensus is the kings will have the worst record in the nba this year. of course its not in stone because anything can happen but i wouldnt count on them not being the worst

lalailaParticipantthe phrase i hate ” Tyreke is scorer and nothing more” man this is nothing but false, at his prime i can see him as ONE OF TWO players in the nba to avg 20/6/6 (maybe Iggy will be there also) like for a SCORER he is very good in passing, yeah it’s preseason blah blah…but 9asists last week was good, he rebounds alot he also is very very good in steals..his grown man’s body and long arms will help him in whole his career

cprizz15Participantis everybody so high on Tyreke evans, but everybody who asked that question should be asked why you arent you? evrything you said about him is coming off his career in college which was easy for him to be the best in Conf. USA but before you say he cant do this and that.. let him play ONE nba game thats not in SL or preseason before you say he was picked too high.. cause you may very well be right but as of now your just a kid sitting behind a computer giving us all your opinion..

quincey hodgesi dont know if he can or cant but im saying he cant do this or that now…and just because you play well in college, not a top conference by the way, doesnt mean you can do the same thing in the nba..and one of 2 players to put those numbers up?…i can think of more..wade,rondo,durant,lebron,

AirJuggernautdid get a good PG what would that do?
they still need low post defense and toughness.
Jon Brockman is not the answer. I hate the Sacramento Queens.

lalailaParticipantDon’t get me wrong….one of two- Tyreke and offcourse LeBron (iggy is possible third)
and…Wade has chances but he is in his prime and he abg 5.0 last year, if i’m not wrong..
and others *Rondo is nothing like 20ppg scorer *Durant with 6apg? lol0 - Posted on: Tue, 10/20/2009 - 11:25am #222909
quincey hodgesrondo already showed he can get 20ppg when garnett was out so what are you talking about not a 20ppg scorer?..d wade is closer then it then evans since he has actually played a nba game and not just preseason…i dont see evans getting 6assits a game..i think thats 2 high for him..also dont see 20 a game from him…did you watch rondo in the playoffs when the game gets alot harder..now you mean to tell me he cant do that as the team gets older and depends on him more?

quincey hodgescoach Mike Moreau: on tyreke evans
Love him for your fantasy team, as he will get a high volume of shots and score tons of points. If you get bonus points for FG percentage, you may be in trouble. From the Kings winning more games standpoint, I don’t like him with the ball in his hands all the time. It’s great for his ROY chase, but it doesn’t make his teammates better, turns them into spectators, and once again, as usual, freezes out Kevin Martin. Evans is a super talent – no question.Mike Moreau:
I think it’s crazy for Evans to be getting more shots than Martin, but that’s what it looks like it will be so far. The potential is for them to be an explosive scoring combo, for sure – fantastic fantasy backcourt. But without playmaking for others and the efficient Martin not being the focal point, I don’t see it translating into many wins. More entertaining losses maybe.youre pg shouldnt be taking more shots then youre go to guy
