    http://hangtime.blogs.nba.com/2012/06/08/no-extension-for-tyreke-evans/?ls=iref:nbahpt2

Accrording to sources the kings may not offer tyreke an extension. Would a a trade of tyreke and the Number five pick for the number two be worth it for both teams. My argument would be that it would help both teams. Charlotte needs talent and .Charlotte gets a player that is very talented, but has kinda went to the back burner with the emergence of Cousins, Thornton, and Thomas. Plus his fate was kinda sealed with the drafting of fredette. Sacramento gets to move forward and draft a very good player like Robinson to match with cousins in the front court . Or draft Drummond and move cousins to PF which a lot of people feel is his real position. If you where the gm would you do this trade.

I think Tyreke Evans would be more valuable in that trade, just because there might not be difference between the quality of the 2nd pick and the 5th pick. UTA could get more for Evans.

Will not draft Robinson. I’ve stated it before, but T-rob is just a more explosive version of Jason thompson. JT has already proved to a be a solid contributer and they have expressed resigning him is important. Not to mention JT is 6’11" and is more polished at this point. If anything the Kings should look to trade Evans for a starting small forward. Hell I heard Iggy is on the block, Kings should trade either Evans, or the number 5 pick. Or both Evans and the 5th pick, for Iggy and the sixers first rounder. Either way I would love to get Iggy’s veteran presence on to the kings. Along with that he’s an excellent defender, and while an inconsistent three point shooter, he’s an athletic wing.

http://www.sacbee.com/2012/06/09/4549471/is-he-the-best-pick-at-no-5-in.html#mi_rss=Kings/NBA He is a good young player. I’m just asking because of a couple of articles that I have read.

fantastic idea, may have to throw in John Salmons to make the salary more fair. not sure the 76ers would do it or not but SAC would be right in the playoff bubble with Iggy…

This has to be the first time a Rookie of the year award winner will not recieve an extension offer from his drafting team.

What you’re saying royk927, but the Kings traded down last year. So that means they will more than likely do it again. Espeically if Harrison barnes isn’t available at that pick. Kings need a back up PF, which is why John Henson’s name has come up a lot lately. His length, and his defense (so i’ve heard) is much needed depth behind Cousins and JT. While the best player avaiable is what is preferred. The Kings have been doing this for the past 6 years now lol, and its not working. So after the Jimmer move, I’m pretty sure they will look for some more depth this time a defensive big man.

Why would the 76ers do that deal? Is this in an effort to give Evan even less minutes?

It may not be the best deal for iggy, but it is possible. I mean they’ve been looking to deal iggy for the longest time. You get a player going into his 4th year with high potential. He can play 3 different positions (though best at the 2 guard). Along with that you jump ahead of everyone else in the lottery into the 5th pick. Its not exactly the best deal but its not exactly the worst either.

If I run that Kings, I would certainly look to trade Tyreke Evans.

There had been quite a few times that he had fights with Cousins and Cousins is certainly the kind of franchise big man player, so trading away Evans for a higher character guy would provide better balance for the team.

They should trade him to Toronto with john salmons for jose calderon the seventh pick, future picks and maybe cash considerations.

    With there draft picks:

5th pick: Harrison Barnes or Andre Drummoned

7th pick: pick John Henson or Perry Jones

    Starting Lineup:

    PG:Jose Calderon

    SG:Marcus Thornton

SF:Harrison Barnes or Perry Jones(He could play power too)

Pf: John Henson or Andre Drummoned

    C: Demarcus Cousins

That trade to Toronto looks good, for the Kings, but not good at all for the Raptors… The Kings get a pass first point guard in Calderon (which they need), another top 10 pick (to help build the team), and get rid of Tyreke (who hasn’t been playing that great) and Salmons (who has an atrocious contract and isn’t good). What happens to the Raptors? They get rid of their 7th pick in a very deep and talented draft and their pass first point guard who gets guys open looks for a ball dominant guard who can’t shoot (Bayless has that role already and I actually prefer Bayless to Evans because Bayless passes better, plays defense, and can shoot). O, and Toronto gets the horrible contract of Salmons.

    Bad trade.

I doubt a team gives Sacramento much for tyreke being that they know there are problems there. Just saying.

Ya there might not be that much difference between the 2nd and 5th pick this year.

I would keep the pick and trade him.

As a Raptors fan, I wouldn’t touch Evans at all.

He got alpha dog mentality but he’s not really that level of a player and his trouble off court is too much.
