chall23ParticipantWatching this Syracuse game I am super impressed with this kid. Tall, fluid athlete with a soft touch and has shown he can shoot with range. Cuse has also been using him as their rim protector which at first I was questioning but he uses his body well by going straight up. Is it crazy to say this kid may be a one and done? I wonder why he hasn’t gotten as much hype as other prospects that are clearly inferior basketball players at this point. I think there is serious upside with Tyler Lydon.

YungmUNyParticipantI was impressed as well. He does play very fuidly… a lot more than I would have expected just looking at him. It’ll be really interesting to see what he does against that giant Texas A&M frontcourt tomorrow.
Also, is it just me, or was that Jay Bilas "Chandler Parsons" comparison pretty funny? At least they didn’t compare him to Larry or Dirk I guess…
EDIT: Just saw DE has him as the #21 freshman as of 11/19. So it looks like folks are taking note (considering none of the major recruiting services had him in the top 50 out of high school).

chall23ParticipantI didn’t hear the comparison because I didn’t have the volume on due to family being over, but the only comparison I would kind of see is Ryan Anderson but that is also kind of lazy. I don’t really see Parsons at all because Parsons was way more perimeter oriented in college. Lydon plays from the paint all the way to the 3-point line which I like about him. He’ll need to add some strength imo

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantI don’t see him as a one and done but definitely a potential NBA player at some point.
I also like Malachi Richardson, another freshman from Syracuse. Prototype length and athleticism for the 2 or 3 position and a great shooter. Needs to work on his ball-handling though to be considered a legit NBA prospect.

dcaseParticipantLydon is the real deal. His length is perfect for the 2-3 zone. Several former Cuse players were raving about him over the summer when they were on campus and playing in pick up games. The future for the Cuse is extremely bright with Lydon and Richardson. Plus they bring in Moyer and Battle next year and have the 7’2" providence transfer (Chukwu) becoming eligible.

TrillaParticipantBeing from Syracuse, I am so excited about his future as a player (so stop talking about him as a prospect he needs to stay). His combination of skill, size, and IQ is going to make him an exceptional player
