TyroberParticipantgonna stick with lawson personally. flynn is good but lawson to me is a solid nba pg and an amazing backup for a rookie

quincey hodgesits kinda hard to tell. flynn as a back up in denver probably would be doing just as well. theres alot less pressure as a back up and you aren’t playing against the starters as much as you would as a starter. this draft is turning out to be wayyyyyy better then people gave i credit for and blake hasnt even played yet

rtbtParticipantAlthough Quincey made a very good point about playing backup being easier, I said on draft night that I would have taken Ty Lawson over Flynn. In my opinion, J. Flynn will become a good NBA player, but I think Lawson has something that’s hard to find, blinding speed. If he can harness it and refine his skills, he has a chance to become one of the top PGs in the game some day. I still can’t believe he fell so far in a relatively weak draft.
On the flip side of this debate, I couldn’t believe Johnny Flynn went so high in the draft.

quincey hodgesi actually had him as the umber 3 pg on my list behind flynn and jennings. i think most dont say much about flynn because hes on a bad team. li call it the kevin martin syndrome

JNixonParticipantJonny Flynn. He’s the better player to me as well. Lawson has played a SG role with Denver and been an amazing bench player off the bat for them with his freakish speed, while Flynn has been spreading the ball around pretty well for a guy that doesn’t have very much talent. I like Fynn here, and I think he can develop into a poor man’s Chris Paul in the future.

quincey hodgeslawson has only played the sparingly and plays alot of point when hes in the game with billups while billups is put at the sg. plus lawson takes care of the ball better and gets just about the same ast in less minutes
