SmooveKRYPTParticipantAccording to Woj, he’s going to SAC on a 1-year deal. With Collison likely facing a suspension and no other PG’s on the roster, this could be a place to see sgnificant playing time for him. It’ll be interesting to see if he can make an impact after the disaster early last year in Houston.
I was just thinking of how weird it was to see him, Lance Stephenson, and Josh Smith sit this late into free agency with no deal in sight. Just 2 short years ago all these guys were commodities with options.

he_gets_bucketsParticipantWhy do Sac keep bringing in headcases to one of the most dysfunctional locker rooms in recent league history? Recipe for disaster.

piratejpParticipantI badly think they need to reboot; starting with trading Cousins near peak value. But if they’re going to continue on their same stupid path, Lawson actually makes a lot of sense. As far as I know, nobody cut his hamstring or anything. If he’s refocused…who knows? If you’re the Kings with their PG situation, why not? For Lawson, best chance at PT. Been thinking for a while it’s a match made in purgatory for morons, and now here we are.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantSeems to be a very low risk move and if he’s focused he gives them a legit option at pg. The guy was playing at a borderline all-star level just a year or two ago and is still in what should be his athletic prime. Given Sacramento’s options at pg, I’ve always thought it seemed like a no-brainer that this would happen. Worst case scenario, they could just waive him if he turns out to be a distraction.

Robb_CParticipantI’ve had the opportunity to meet and speak with Ty Lawson, I never received the impression of him being a headcase or a guy with no moral compass.. just made a bad decision with that DUI.. He was pretty humble

Bankroll PJParticipant*DUI’s. He’s had at least 4 I believe and that’s a problem. I don’t think he’s a headcase in the locker room either, but as GM it’s a red flag because it shows he’s not dedicated to his craft. A bad decision can be easily forgiven, but 4 of the same kind is a problem. He needs help. There’s a reason nobody wanted him………except the kings lol

IndianaBasketballParticipantLawson worked a lot on his jumper off the catch and playing without the ball this summer. Hopefully, he’s gotten better in this area because he’ll need that playing off of Cousins.
He can definitely still play, but he just needs to be healthy and then of course be given an opportunity.
