The_MizParticipantWhy would Minnesota draft Derrick Williams (even though I think he is the best player in the draft) They already have Kevin Love and Michael Beasley! Kanter would be a good fit for them.

Born ReadyParticipantI also am leaning towards kanter now however hopefully he can play along side kevin love and finally provide us we a legit centre for the future..i havent seen his game enough but i know post defence needs work if he going to bang with the howards, gasols, bynum etc.. maybe tradeing the pick could be a option however i want a wing who can match the age of our key players.. i was thinkin about iggy but no idea where his mind set is.

GlenTaylorSucksParticipantYou lean toward Williams because he’s the best player available at #2. They need whatever talent they can get; the only real keeper they have is Kevin Love. You draft the best available, and make deals afterwards to address your other needs.
But, this is Kahn we’re talking, and he’s never made the smart choice. So who the hell knows what he’s going to do with the #2.

The_MizParticipantI would say Beasley is worth keeping, he avg 20 points this year, I think Kanter is worthy of #2 and will be very good.

Sports Tears In Our BeersParticipantSaw on startribune.com that Blake Hoffarber is going to work out for the wolves. Now, we know he isn’t going to get drafted. But, would he be a player you would like the wolves to take a flyer on as an undrafted rookie? He could come off the bench and play a Fred Hoiberg role.

GlenTaylorSucksParticipantHoffarber?! Seriously?! He’s not athletic, can’t pass, can’t dribble, and is an OK shooter. The only good thing he’s ever done is hit that shot from his @$$ in the state tourney a few years ago (the play that won the ESPY for play of the year 4-5 years back). Plus, knowing kids that know him, he’s apparently a total douchecanoe with a Matt Leinart-esque sense of entitlement. I don’t want a guy like that anywhere near the Wolves roster.

Sports Tears In Our BeersParticipantI hear ya, it was just a thought. I’m not saying draft him or anything. Heck, maybe even just put him on the D-league team. The kid has a nice shot and a quick release. I agree he isn’t very athletic, but I think your down playing his passing. When he had to step in last year and play PG for the gophers, he did a solid job. I know, the Gophers went on a crazy losing streak, but it wasn’t his fault. I think if you can get a shooter like that, for cheap. Might as well take a shot.
